Hate it for Jalen, had a heck of a season. That being said, kind of hard to see OU making it to the CFP next year let alone being big 12 champs. I think they take a step back

This. I am not sure either Clemson or tOSU are capable of beating this LSU team. but . as we all know, anything can happen. IMO, LSU has now surpassed Alabama as the best team in the SEC. I don't say this with any satisfaction, but with the realization that their talent is equal to ours or better, they have definitely improved their coaching staff, the biggest question is , whether or not this was an aberration because of Burrow. Time will tell.
Time will tell. I was telling a friend that I believed this was the best LSU team they ever fielded. Tough for lighting to strike twice without a process.

Just before he took the field for warmups, an hour before he would call plays in his alma mater’s biggest game in eight years, Steve Ensminger, for just a brief few minutes, pushed football aside for family. He called his son. He told him that everything would be O.K., that he’d make it through this dark hour. He told him that he loved him and to be strong and have faith.

LSU OC Steve Ensminger's Biggest Call on a Heartbreaking Saturday Came Off the Field

McCord wasn’t just a daughter-in-law to an LSU assistant. Even before she married Steven Ensminger Jr. almost two years ago, she held a close connection to those around LSU. She turned into a familiar face on many televisions in the state as a Cox Sports and ESPN sideline reporter, known for her hard-charging reporting and bubbly persona. McCord held jobs few knew about, Steven says. She woke up each morning around 4 a.m. to teach online English classes to kids in China, and she worked some with New Orleans TV station WDSU. She also served as a travel agent and spent time covering some of her favorite programs, the New Orleans Pelicans and Saints.

Actually, the ESPN FPI method predicts Clemson having a 56% chance of winning. However, that's really based on Clemson's defensive performance, which was earned against a creampuff schedule. And I agree on Burrow. Burrow and Brady were the perfect marriage. Brady's attack is designed to give the QB multiple options on each play and Burrow's processing speed is fast enough to take advantage of them and get the ball out. So is Tua. JMO, but neither QB last night came even close to the same processing speed...

What truly sets Burrow apart for me is the way that he sees the field when the play breaks down. IMO, he is a better QB when on the move than he is when he is in the pocket, and he is pretty danged good in the pocket.

He is going to be a very dangerous QB at the next level, where defenders are faster and the need to improvise even greater.

It is their best team by far. A lot was made of that 2011 team before we played them in the championship game, but that team didn't have an offense within light years of this one.

Oklahoma's "defense" set a record or two yesterday...

No other team has ever allowed a single player to score 8 TDs in a bowl game.

No other team has ever allowed a single player to score 8 TDs in any game involving an SEC team.

"They were not one of the best defenses we've played at all," LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss said. "If I had to rank them, they're probably about fifth. They did a lot of talking out there on the field, but they didn't play like it."
