It's going to be tough for anyone to beat LSU playing in their own backyard.

This. I am not sure either Clemson or tOSU are capable of beating this LSU team. but . as we all know, anything can happen. IMO, LSU has now surpassed Alabama as the best team in the SEC. I don't say this with any satisfaction, but with the realization that their talent is equal to ours or better, they have definitely improved their coaching staff, the biggest question is , whether or not this was an aberration because of Burrow. Time will tell.

As we know, Coach Saban has been questioned/second guessed all season because of Jalen's decision to transfer. Have I just missed it or has there been virtually no questioning/second guessing Urban's football acumen regarding Burrow? This would be Joe's senior season at OSU. The guy let a future Heisman winner and potential NC QB exit his program and I've not heard a peep from the national talking heads. Even tonight they mentioned Burrow's history at OSU but not once insinuated that perhaps Meyer had "made the wrong choice."

I love my Tide, but I also honestly believe we were too weak on defense to compete for the big prize this year. I sure would not want to play LSU again. With that said, there is not way LSU would have scored sixty plus points on us. But, tonight they toyed with OU like a cat with a mouse. They could have scored 100 on the Sooners if they had not taken their foot off the gas. Maybe they can win it all this year and let their head swell. It is so very difficult to win two championships in a row.

I'd take the wait and see approach. LSU's offense WILL take a step backward's next season. They caught lightning in a bottle with Burrow. I don't think the LSU staff knew Burrow would do what he did. But once they knew what they had they obvious took full advantage of it. But highly doubt LSU will have anywhere near the type offense next season as they did this season. Plus, we're returning a ton of experience and talent second to none, even LSU. I like our chances next season.

Yeah, I don't expect LSU to be nearly as good as they were this year...……………..other teams are improving, and Bama does return a lot, and LSU loses a lot. Also, Coach Warrgarble said he was going to outrecruit Bama...………..yet he is behind Bama............….we shall see how he does.................LSU got past Bama this year.........next year is a different year
