My realist observation is that we don't have the horses available at the moment to beat upper-level teams. The thinness showed off against UF (Game we should have won, but ran out of gas.) But, we are starting to show some "heart" and that will go a long way making those teams nervous.

... we have a program that compete for national championships yearly. It's harder to win ncs in cbb. But to be a program that can realistically compete yearly will be huge. To say im excited with the potential of this program is an understatement.

I'm not writing this season off but any means but with the possibility of a majority of the team being back AND the pieces we will ad in JQ, Rojas and Gray ... we will have the potential to at least be a sweet 16 team

I'd just be happy to see us get deep into the SEC tourney on a regular basis. If we are good enough to do that then we'll probably be good enough to make some runs in the dance.

True! On a side note I noticed that UK had their guard pick up the pace in the Arky game as far as pushing the ball ... wonder if that was result after a previous matchup

We will see depth at position a priority in the future. 4 out of the 6 main targets for the 2021 class are guards.

I will say this—he’s light years ahead of where Avery Johnson ever was.
All I expect out of our basketball program: First, play competitively with everyone on our schedule, win 20 games a season, get to the tournament, beat UK once every 3-4 yrs and I’m satisfied.

Kira is young. Those guys play hoops year round. They aren’t old men playing 4 nights per week like the NBA. He’s playing 2x/week. He’s fine.

Next year he’ll be playing 81 games. So, let’s not over think this.

This team has been playing pretty well, especially on offense. If a couple of those narrow margin losses had gone our way, people would be thinking about this team a lot more. Big time college basketball is tough to win every night. Ask Duke, Kentucky, and, especially Auburn.

Yep....under CAJ “conditioning” was what you did after shampooing your hair in the shower after practice....
