24/7 awards a 'recruiter of the year' thingee so I am sure someone keeps up with it. Another site I read daily is teasing a Freddie return to Bama thing, so I guess it's true. My question is this: in theory CNS could have had Freddie any time he wanted him, so why now? Has he proven enough at Ole Miss to get bumped up to first string? I hope so. I loved him as a player, but I know nothing about him as a coach or recruiter.
Recruits and players LOVE CFR...

Monken joins the Browns from Tampa Bay, where he helped orchestrate the best passing offense in the league. The Buccaneers also boasted the third-best total offense in the league despite alternating between Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick as their starting quarterback. Both quarterbacks posted career highs in completion percentage and quarterback rating under Monken this year, and Fitzpatrick also threw for the most yards per attempt of his career. Monken, much like new Browns coach Freddie Kitchens, is an aggressive play-caller. He was recently quoted as saying, "I like having fun. I don't know why it has to feel like such drudgery all the time. Who needs more 5-yard plays? How can we be explosive?
I thought Coach Saban's comments/warning shots about defensive minded HC coaches needing to adapt to the modern era of offensive football was directed towards Kirby, but not exclusively so.

I like Monken's offensive philosophy, he likes to attack all areas of the field, which is something Coley couldn't address with our players and QB. I'm hoping under Monken and Faulkner, Georgia will become more explosive and harder to defend, but he'll need the right players to implement this new playbook. I'm not looking for miracles just improvement.

I found it interesting that Baker is willing to move to off the field position just to make room for Roach. What's the reason behind that?

Bo Davis is staying with Lions for one more year, so He's not coming back to Alabama... I suspect we'll see more changes before the week is out. Freddie Roach is a good move for DL coaching and recruiting. I suspect We'll see DC Change...

I don‘t think there will much staff turnover, I think Nick is comfortable with the staff he has. Plus the coaches on staff are teachers so I think the team will improve a lot in year 2 with the current staff. Maybe bring in one more dynamic recruiter. With Kiffin, there 5 HC‘s in conference that evaluate talent like Nick.

I can’t help But think that we dodged a large bullet when Enos left. He was a terrible hire for Diaz and Miami. I don’t think he lasted a calendar year! Throwing players under the bus didn’t help, and neither was leaving Bama in the middle of the night.
Sark is far better than Enos

If you're looking for someone that gives a hoot, you might want to post that on another board...

***Reading back...seriously, why would we want Georgia to become more explosive and harder to defend?
I mean this...do you really think that this is the best place for that, or are you poking the bear as usual???

Personally I love the idea of a blue collar guy like Freddie coming home to work on the staff. I know that Coach goes for the best fit and I guess this means it's Freddie's time. I really hope it works out, and being honest, he has a lot of talent on the roster to work with, so if he is good, we should see some results.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Do you think the average Clemson fan realizes their success is built on the backs of Bama’s sons?

The only thing the Clemson fans have on their greatest hits album is "We've won 2 national titles in four years and have been to the playoffs 5 consecutive years." That's really all they have, but boy can they repeat it to you. LOL! I visited a few of their boards and there were some UGA and LSU fans on there posting, basically just trolling. But I gathered the standard response to any trash talking opposing fan "We've won two national titles in four years and been to the playoffs five consecutive years." Then they repeat it over and over and over.

Chris Breece on Twitter is reporting that DC Pete Golding will remain with the staff at Alabama next year.

This is good news to hear because despite the issues he had with his ILB and defense as a whole, I still think he deserve a second year to prove that he can turn things around and I think with Freddie Coaching up DL and an adjustment on ILB/OLB coaching spots... We should see significant improvement on run defense.

This is the key - ILB. I am hoping for the best and will support him because he is on staff, but I'd be lying if I said that I was not worried.

I wouldn't expect to see many staff changes before NSD. There will be no D Coordinator change according to what I have heard.
Yelp. at that time when I posted it, I thought from what I've seen and heard... I really thought Golding was gonna either take off the field job, demoted or take a job somewhere. I suspect that Saban couldn't convince a certain coach or two from SEC team to come back to Alabama and felt like Golding was the best option …. It's not necessary bad thing, but it's not a good thing at same time. That's my opinion.

Sal Sunseri is a good coach, but I don't think he's the issue.... so Saban needs to hire someone who has experience developing ILB, someone who can work under Golding and teach him few things... So I'm guessing an analyst will be a former DC coach.
