Ok, I don’t know why I venture to the Clemson board, but I do . Here is comedy gold from Tigernet.

I put this here because it pertains to the game, somehow!
Manhandled to the tune of a 21 point loss, orchestrated by a QB playing injured for most of the game, and robbed by getting penalized 3 times for 20 yards to Ohio State’s 9 for 95. 😁

I’m sure it’s got something to do with the targeting penalty. I’m sure most of those trolls approve of Dabo’s dirty play.
Not being there myself...I could be wrong..but I thought it looked intentional when it happened. I was in a car wreck once..and suffered a similar hit to my lower right back. That play made me concerned about internal damage to Fields. Hope he is okay. But yeah..that was the right call. Sometimes..it isnt, but that one was.

There is usually a lot more information available about the team schedules during this week. All I know at this point is that Alabama flies down to Miami tomorrow and OSU is flying down on Saturday. I have heard nothing about practices or anything else. It just does not feel like CFC Championship week to me.

Absolutely nothing to get psyched about.

Ohio State alum. I've occasionally stopped by over the years but haven't posted until today. This is definitely one of the better college football fan sites. I think most Ohio State fans are excited their team will be playing Alabama for the national championship. The Tide has certainly looked the part during this crazy football season. And without question, Alabama has been the gold standard in college football since Coach Saban took over in Tuscaloosa. The old saying, "if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best", applies.

Definitely a huge challenge for the Buckeyes, but one the team is capable of meeting if it plays up to its potential and doesn't shoot itself in the foot. We saw a glimpse of that ability when Ohio State beat Clemson in the CFP Semifinal. In the end, I'm looking for a well-played, hard-fought game decided on the field by the players & coaches. May the team that plays better that night win the game (e.g., I really hope the officials are noticeably "invisible", if that seeming oxymoron makes sense).

Happy New Year & best wishes in 2021 -- notwithstanding an Ohio State win on Monday night, of course!

My question is how does Wade compare to Stingley Jr?
From an NFL standpoint Stingley, Jr. is way more highly coveted than Wade. I can only speak for what I saw this year. Against Clemson I thought Wade seemed nothing like a 1st round NFL draft pick. Seemed like he was giving huge cushions all night. Cornell Powell, Clemson wide receiver and projected 4th or 5th round pick, lit up Wade for 8 receptions and 139 yards with 2 touchdowns. I think Smith might be a little bit better than Powell.

I will say I'm hoping we have a more aggressive gameplan on defense than we've had against Fla or ND....

Because the 'mush-rush' 4-0-7 defense will get TORCHED by Fields.

Our LB's just do not fare well in prevent. We absolutely HAVE to get pressure on Fields.... we don't have to sack him... but we can't let him sit back and throw in rhythm or let him take off running picking up 3rd down conversions because the back 7 is trying to 'prevent' something.

If we play that same ole same ole 'SAFE' Defense as our Base then our Offense will have to score TD's every single possession.

That's a lot of pressure to put on the Offense.

If our DC really is some kind of Prodigy, then now is the time to show it.
Already thinking of halftime adjustments after rushing three the first half!

Stingley is arguably a Chase Young-type of corner prospect. Wade, will probably go in the 2nd/3rd round this year.

Wade is a much better slot corner/safety/nickel than he is a #1 outside corner. Last year he was very very good and could’ve snuck into the back end of the first round. He’s been pretty average to bad this year and got some awards and recognition on name alone. He’s gotten physically dominated a surprising amount, as he was known for his run support and willingness to get physical with receivers last year and the year before. He makes some very good plays here and there though so he’s still got it in him.

Since the Indiana game, he hasn’t been asked to cover dudes 1 on 1 in man really. Ohio State has played a lot of cover 2 and 3 and focused on keeping guys in front of him. The scheme arguably makes him look worse than he actually is, because the routes underneath him are usually open by design.

Togiai is playing for OSU and will be by far the best individual defensive performer Bama will face all season.

One of the other tOSU posters said he's not even the best on your team?
...and let me guess...false positive, but the others are all correct?
