All this panic reminds me of myself the first time Bama went through this process. Here’s my take, now though. Sark is the new head coach at Texas. His focus is in building the best program he can at Texas. To do that, he is going to hire the best staff he can. His primary concern is not how upset Nick Saban gets. I do not like that our coaches are leaving, but this happens every few years to Bama. Saban will hire new guys to fit his system/process, Bama will keep recruiting at the highest level, and winning at the highest level. The “next man up” mentality does not apply only to the players, it applies to coaches also. These top notch recruiters we are losing are top notch, in part, because of the program they are recruiting to.

I have no info or evidence for it, but I heard an interesting tidbit that Will “Bruce Banner” Muschamp might........might..... be a possible replacement for Golding if he leaves...... again, it’s something that was related to me....
He wouldn't be at the top of my list but he did have two top 10 (scoring) defenses at Auburn and one at LSU.

For the sake of comparison Golding at Alabama has been 12, 13, 13. I'm fine with Golding staying, but if the game of musical chairs starts Alabama should have some strong options. Meyer and Sark can't hire all three.

Oh, I agree........ time to find out who’s gone and lock someone down. I’d prefer Strong, but if he decides to head to the Jags, good luck to him. There are quite a few good DCs out there

Unless Mush and Saban have gotten over their differences then it’s highly unlikely to happen.

I'm guessing, that if this becomes a mass exodus -- then it's more Texas footing the bill to steal lightning in a bottle.......because either they don't believe Sark can build a program on his own OR they are just out of ideas.

I'm guessing if you wanted to motivate Coach Saban to stay around a little longer..... this is a great way to do it
