I decided almost 20 years ago that whenever I wasn't enjoying a game, I'd turn it off.
I totally get it. Do that sometimes myself. I remember after the kick s_x I was in a funky fog for two whole days. It was after that I re-assessed my approach to enjoying football.

We got the W. It's in the record books. Here's to the next 364 days. RTR

Man, I don't enjoy watching these guys play so poorly. It's not fun. And with my family around, I'm not going to let O'Brien and Marrone ruin an entire afternoon.

For me, the finish was sweet enough to justify sticking it out.

I decided a few years ago that I was going to suck it up and be the most positive person in the room.

On a possibly unrelated note, had I decided this a year or two sooner I would have saved myself the cost of a new television...

Reading the first six pages, I never realized so many people would stop watching the game when it’s not going our way.
It's not "when it's not going our way". I watch games to be entertained.

When the players are doing everything they can but particular members of the staff are so hamstringing them as to take all enjoyment out of the game, I'm not entertained.

If O'Brien and Marrone are here next year, there's a good bet I'll turn off more games. We may as well have bucket-step-Bob back on the sidelines (I didn't watch a lot of those games, either).

Roll Tide! I had so many anxiety symptoms the entire game! It is a great win, especially there. I’m hoping Brian Robinson is okay for next week. Georgia will be tough, especially for our offense.

I am dead right now. The wife and I got into Alabama football in 2006 when we moved to Bama. I just asked her if I could travel back and change things, prevent us from going down this trail of fandom-would she prefer that. She wasn't sure.

We are spoiled. We had to suffer a season and then Lord Saban showed up and fixed everything. Many of you have spent decades in the desert waiting with a taste of glory in 92, so I don't speak from having truly having experienced the lows.

We dread it.
My first, live, football memory is David Palmer returning a kickoff for a touchdown in Legion Field.

My first taste of football glory was 1992.

I have wandered the desert.

We are experiencing football heaven on earth.

I just hope it lasts a few years longer...
