65" LG OLED here, I can tell the difference between 1080p and true 4K video games on my Xbox Series X. I can also see a slight difference between 4K and 1080p movies on the Apple TV 4K (2017 model). Honestly though, the difference isn't huge, nothing like the days of going from SD to HDTV.

The bigger difference is with HDR/Dolby Vision content. The jump from standard dynamic range to HDR/Dolby Vision is stunning. Games and movies just seem to pop off the screen in HDR/DV. The higher contrast ratio and wider color gamut of these high dynamic range formats is more impressive than the 4k resolution jump, IMO.

Unless you have a huge TV, I think you will be fine.
Mine is 55", the most which would fit in our study in the corner. Our viewing distance is optimal. We do get some 4K broadcasts and, IIRC, some ESPN football games in 4K. I probably misspoke. I can tell the difference. I just haven't seen enough yet to justify the extra cost. Considering my Comcast bill was running $220+ per month, a lot of which they couldn't explain, I'm still way, way below that with Fiber and YTTV. I think I did sign up for a free trial period, so we'll see...

My monitor is a 32" 4K. It has a Philips brand, but the OLED display is made by LG, as all of them are. A lot of good it does me here... :)

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
This might be the death of YouTubeTV for me. They have removed all Disney networks, including ABC and ESPN. Those are literally the only reason why I use that service.
You're going to see a lot of Mouse backed astroturfing online trying to frame this as YouTube's fault. Don't believe a word of it. Disney would be perfectly fine if you switched to Hulu. They have a stake in it.

There's a reason your cable bill kept going up and this is history repeating itself.

Same here and I'm pretty ticked off this morning. Thankfully my Subscription ends on the 25th so that's only a week really that I'm being burned on.

But what do I do for today now and the rest of Bowl season?

I looked around and Hulu Live TV seems to be the only other option in the same price range that has the ESPN and ABC channels.

Can anyone with Hulu Live confirm that they still have the CFB channels today?

I’ve been considering switching to YouTube TV.
I’ve tried all of them by rotating all of my Google emails and getting free trials. YouTube TV by far is the best. I live in a rural area with Centurylink internet which only offers 20mb down and 5mb up (yeah that’s terrible I know)z YouTube steams with no problems. It’s been the most reliable so far and most channels for the $. It’s $64.99 per month which I thought was pricey until I looked at channel subscriptions through DISH or Direct TV.

ETA- sorry I didn’t realize this was an old post🤦‍♂️

Yep. Screw Disney, one of the worst companies on the planet these days. I hate that they own everything.

YTTV was by far the best but it’s useless without the Disney networks, namely ESPN

I have been working on this crap all morning. Thought I would come here to see what happened with everyone else.

Just cancelled my Youtube TV and signed up for a 1 week trial of Hulu.

If it gets the job done then the switch will be permanent.

Youtube TV is going to lose a TON of subscribers today.

Yep and Disney knows it. Don’t get me wrong Bob Chapek (new Disney CEO) is a greedy piece of garbage but he’s in a position of power. He’s jacked the price up on everything Disney, especially the parks.
