Russian assets nosedived as the invasion of Ukraine prompted emergency central bank action and investors braced for the toughest round of Western sanctions yet.
The ruble sank to a record low and stocks collapsed 45% — their biggest-ever retreat — before recovering some losses as of noon Moscow time.

I am interested to know what kind of defense the Ukranian armed forces are putting up. The only reports I'm seeing now are Russian rockets coming across the horizon, and convoys of tanks, armor, troops heading into Ukraine.

I hope they give the bear a huge bloody nose. Is Putin willing to see a lot of Russian soldiers coming back home in body bags?

They have a lot of ground troops, but I think Alabama has a bigger/better air force.

I wonder if the Ukrainians have the staying power to fight like the Afganians?

I suspect no one on either side wants WW III. That could let the geni out of the bottle.

If Ukraine can fight and hold on, I can see the West, including the US, providing the equipment and supplies to do so.
