Can you believe the game is less than 1 week from now. Will Hurricane Ernesto play a part? Will Simpson play at all?

I hope that the hurricane will get sheered to death unless it can bring a safe end to the drought and heat we have been experiencing. I hope that Shula makes the best call on Simpson. I must say that I like his style.

Now, to the game. UH has some impressive stats with a good QB, WR's, and coaches. But do they have enough to slow the Bama rush and can they stop the Bama run?

My guess is that they will hang in pretty tough until the 3rd quarter, but Bama will roll to a 37-17 win.

I think your score is extremely close. I believe we are going to run, run, run and use UHs terrible run defense to our advantage and pass when needed. This will also keep our defense on the bench. Two RBs should get at least 125 yards each and think JPW will end up with about 100 yards.

RTR!

FWIW, I hope Ernesto turns into a depression, with only rain and small winds to clear up the drought and make for some nice cool weather.

My prediction for the Bama/Hawaii game:
Bama wins 35-9 over the Rainbow Warriors. Hawaii only scores by way of FG.

5 TD's for Bama. 2 Pass, 2 rushing, and one defensive TD.

I think there is a chance we may/will be behind at the half .

27-17 ROLL TIDE ROLL !!!!!:BigA:

JPW passes for 250 and darby rushes for 150 and the tide rides hawaii for 500+ yards

FINAL SCORE: ALABAMA 52
HAWAII 24

PS After the game fulmer is spotted eating a donut and drinking red bull

No way we blow these guys out. The combination of Colt Brennan to Davone Bess will stun us all for a while. We will remember the name "Davone Bess" when this game is over. The halftime score is Alabama 19 Hawaii 17. But in the 3rd qtr JPW hits Keith Brown for a quick hitter; 74 yard TD pass for a 26-17 lead. From there the Bama defense makes the necessary adjustments and tacks on another TD (fumble recover for a TD by Prince Hall) to add on to the lead and make it 33-17. Hawaii comes back with about 2:25 left and makes it 33-23 (failed 2 pt conversion), and Bama recovers the onside kick and runs out the clock.

Final: Alabama 33 Hawaii 23 (1-0, 0-0 SEC)

Wow! We went from being a team that could not score more than 1 touchdown against the Little Sisters of the Poor, to being a team that hangs 45 on anyone. I'll believe the offensive production when I see it.

Bama 17
UH 13

It will be a nail biter!

You make a very good point. Someone on here once said that a high scoring Shula offense would be his first. In his defense, I do think the lack of offensive production has been due to having extremely poor offensive line play. We have excellent backs and receivers. If the qb is solid (and I believe he will be), then we will score tons with good o-line play. I think we get good o-line play this year. If not, there is no excuse for it. It's time they pulled their weight. I choose to believe that they will.

the o-line shows vast improvements and we grind down the warriors d.darby and johns both go over 100 and jp hits a long td pass to keith brown.

alabama 42
hawaii 24

I would like to be as optimistic as some have been on here but I honestly can't see it. It will take the Tide awhile to get it's sea legs. I think the real determining factor is going to be how much pressure we can put on there QB. By the degree we pressure the QB will determine how large the score is in our favor.

Bama 27
Hawaii 21
