Let’s stop with the refs costing us….

We lost this game because of a multitude of different reasons that the refs had no part of.

1) We had 2 drives start within the 10 yard line because we had special teams penalties on kickoffs. And we had a muff punt. That right there is 21 easy points.

2) we get an interception and do nothing with it.

3) We have 16 penalties

4) we had no push whatsoever

5) BoB calls horrible play calls in key positions.
The refs did cost us. In any game you can point out a bunch of things that contributed to the loss. Rarely can you honestly point out something the refs did that directly affected the outcome of the game. Today - the pass interference call on the Kool-aid interception DIRECTLY impacted the outcome of the game.

@selmaborntidefan spiking the football in college football must be allowed now. I just watched Anthony Richardson do it for Florida after scoring a TD.
Like you, I thought it was an automatic unsportsmanlike like penalty call.
Cam Latu did it too after his TD late in the game. I kept waiting for a flag and, based on the way they called the rest of the game, I kept waiting for a flag to fly.

How can ONE WR score 5 TD’s against our DEFENSE? Where was the DC? Wasn’t there some strategy he could have used to PREVENT this from happening? Or is he CLUELESS?

I thought Alabama always played to a STANDARD Under Coach Saban. That STANDARD was MIA today.
Apparently it’s just become a saying because it’s not being carried out.

That last series was a total failure on coach saban 30 seconds in field goal range and you allow bob to pass the ball three times? Seriously what was that? How do you, as the head coach allow that? Gibbs should be apocalyptic right now! The oline should be in the locker room tearing stuff up for that total meltdown in coaching. Scared playcalling all around. No excuses. Doesnt matter! the last 30 seconds was the worst clock and field awareness by the ENTIRE coaching staff i have seen. In all honesty they should have spiked the ball 3 straight times. Result would have been the same.
Golding should have been begging saban to run the ball. He darn sure knew the defense wasnt gonna win it.
I honestly thought Mike McCarthy was our coach on that last drive.

For the past dozen years or so, we've had a hard time keeping our staff, including the equipment manager, water boy, or the guy that washes the jocks. they keep getting poached because everyone wants a piece of our program. But no one is trying to steal that guy.

We lost 52-49. Not a BoB fan, but I think it’s hard to blame this on the offense.
I’m convinced more than ever that Bryce is covering up for just how bad BOB is. He checks at the line ALLLLLL the time and often makes something out of nothing after he escapes the pass rush or moves the pocket.

You guys are seriously gonna sit here and tell me the phrase is brass “tacks”?
It is technically “brass tacks”. It comes from the furniture industry. The final detail was adding the polished, finishing tacks made of brass. So in other words “the final details”.

However it has been used by some in the financial sector as “brass tax”. - the final elements in a pending business deal.

I will continue to support the players and coaches of this team and not resort to bashing them on a website. I doubt very seriously that you and the poster you were replying to could get on a dry erase board and know the difference between man coverage or cover 2 much less when Bama does pattern matching in the back end.
I agree, but I'm not getting paid to do that. This is a message board where people give their opinions & my opinion is that he is not a very good defensive coordinator. At the very least, he doesn't seem to be getting the most out of the talent he is working with.

Well, Tennessee outscored us today. We did shoot ourselves in the foot a few times, but this was the absolutely worst officiating job I've ever seen. If someone told me tomorrow that the SEC told them to favor Tennessee, I would believe it. But as bad as we shot ourselves in the foot, we still found a way to fight back, and but for a bogus pass interference call, we win the game.

My big question is how do we react to this? I'm hoping that the guys don't fall apart, but use the heart that got them back in this game to finish this season strong. We still control our destiny and hope we will finish strong.

I do understand those things. Golding has proven year after year that he simply has no answer for up-tempo offenses. A single receiver simply cannot score 5 TDs on 6 catches. It’s not like these were back shoulder fades inside the 5 yard line. A single receiver hasn’t killed us this bad since Josh Reed.

Pruitt would have dialed up the pressure and had Hooker on his back repeatedly.

A lot contributed to us losing but they pulled that pi call straight out of the crack of their you know what. That was dirty late call that cost us the game.Sickening.
Spot on. And it rewarded UT for throwing up a desperation heave when their QB was about to get smacked.

So I’m not crazy?
