With the concession prices at larcenous levels, they should at least have great customer service. But the service is routinely slow and incompetent. I go to only one game a year now - the at-home experience with a nice big screen is much better and much more affordable. Whenever Saint Nick rides off into the sunset - likely soon - and Bama becomes an average team - attendance at games will plummet.
Reminder, Les Miles won a NC at LSU with left-over CNS recruits.
No disputing things will have to change some but I don't think we become "an average team" when CNS leaves.
Ate at a Cracker Barrell recently in Pigeon Forge and they only had two servers working that day.
Every restaurant you enter has a "help wanted" sign and they are advertising paying workers $15 an hour.
I'm not sure what this has to do with general concessions in Bryant Denny as most of those workers are volunteers from whatever group for which that concession stand is raising funds...

I don't know whether they are paid or volunteer. But there should be a minimum standard of competence and courtesy required whether it is a fund-raiser for a non-profit or a big corporation. Doesn't matter if it's raising money for a charity or big bucks for profit company. If the people are volunteers where does all the money go? There's at least an 80% markup on hot dogs, sodas, chips, etc. If they can't do it right then don't let them sell at BDS.
If some fund-raiser wants to make money selling at BDS that's great - but at the outrageous prices charged there should be a quality standard for courtesy and competence required to participate.
No guarantee we will be average - but no guarantee we won't. Following legendary coaches is very difficult.

I’ll back this statement up. When I was in HS my HS Booster Club had a deal with Yar-Tay to work the concessions at the Legion Field games. We would get like 11.5% of the take. It did a lot of funding for projects. We never had enough people to man the thing properly because parents are self entitled and won’t work to help. The school still has this problem with parents volunteering to help. We had to deal with jerks at the window wanting us to do things we weren’t allowed to do. It’s a frustrating job. The group with the contract with UA sets the prices. The people working have absolutely nothing to do with it. I will add this, it doesn’t take much to be nice to someone else.
As far as concessions go, UA only cares about making money, and won't let some stands substantially undercut the other ones.
Does this include stands outside of the stadium? I have seen some very wide price disparities outside of BDS
I'm all in favor of Bama helping the high school groups, etc. But having a concession stand at BDS is a privilege - not a right. Is it wrong to expect that the person taking your order and making change knows how to count? I've experienced people working the window at the stand who were seemingly illiterate - more than once. They simply could not count.
Selling concessions at BDS is great idea as a fundraiser. But there should be a standard.
And the issue of items on the menu-sign they are "out of" - even before kickoff. Adjust the sign!
I've been to games at 8 other SEC schools and the concessions were managed much, much better than at BDS.
