[Tidelines]

I have wished we would play more players. Seems that would help with lowering transfers. Players have to see a future to hang around. We have good options as backups. Why not give them some meaningful reps.

I think you are correct, but those factors have always been at play. You forgot one of if not the biggest reason, the ease at which to do the portal. There once was a price, now there is none.

Some of those players just couldn't get in the games... Leary was a hard charger with SPEED...He was wasted on the sidelines like alot of others... Fresh legs in the 2nd half would've won some of those lost games.... Saban overplays first stringers..

I can't help but wonder if a few of these guys were encouraged to enter the portal. Not every guy who (even those that see the field) is the ideal player for that position.

Just seems like a LOT of WRs - none of which really 'clicked' as an offensive weapon - are in the portal.

AH: Couldn't get on the field much and make an impact at Bama or Texas! Guys like this aggravate me because I had so much ambition to play college ball (b-ball) but I just maxed out my talent. Guys like him don't have ambition and can get a D-1 scholarship and not even try. I don't see how that'll equate to success at doing much of anything even beyond football.

AA: He's one of the only transfer guys that I thought could be a star. Hate to see him leave and really hate he's going to LSU.

we needed fresh rushers and linebackers against a oline that had been playing all game... Sure!!..maybe we couldve got in there... or guys were exhausted..

He may overplay the first stringers but if you don’t trust the backups, you keep the guys in the game you believe in. You could start pointing fingers at the coaches for the lack of trust and development but the fact remains about reasons for not letting some players in the game.

Leary was someone that needed deveopment... he swapped positions several times when Alabama needed people due to injury..he even played RB and played very physical..hated to see him go...he had real speed and desire to adapt...our lose is Gus's gain..too bad

Sometimes coaches miss on where to use players to bring out the best in them. You just have to move on and try to do a better job next time because it will happen again. Coaches aren’t perfect.

I'm trying so hard to understand your posts from your perspective and I'm struggling to figure it out.

Fresh Rushers? You didn't know we've been rotating players on DL, LB, OL and WRs all season long? That was Saban's plan based on what happened last year, where there was lack of development.
