Tomorrow night will be interesting because FSU should take a serious tumble and be forced to play their way back into consideration after losing their starting quarterback.

Whatever the committee does with FSU could give some insight into what might happen in regards to other teams and their rankings.

They won't drop. The committee made it clear they only care about wins, and FSU won.

How about we just let the games get played? The current rankings mean absolutely nothing. If we win out and get left out by all means argue over what the committee thinks. I cannot control nor can any of you.

Normally I would agree, but this year it's not the case. They ranked us at #8 and made it clear we weren't moving up unless other teams ahead of us lost, no matter how much we keep winning. We should be #6 right now. Those 2 spots absolutely matter.

Against North Alabama. Florida may not be good this year but that is big step up in competition and Louisville is another step up. They have time to get him better prepared but their chances of winning takes a hit.

I'd hate to think that the committee wouldn't give a team the chance solely off an injury. Nor do I believe they should tank a team because they lost a player. Give the back up a chance... we see what happened with OSU in 2014...

Louisville definitely has film on Rodemaker, seeing how he led FSU to a come-from-behind win at Louisville in 2022, after Jordan Travis left in the first half with....a leg injury.

Against a high school team, though. UNA isn't even good in their own division. If Mertz weren't hurt, I'd be picking Florida this weekend, but regardless, I think there is zero chance of them beating Louisville without Travis.

I think what "The Four Best Teams" means to the Committee is the four best for College football viewership/interest. They are DYING to place a team from out west and I think they're tickled to have FSU back in it. Of course the best four teams are probably in the B1G and the SEC but if they can use any excuse, they'll put in an Oregon or Washington in the CFP to keep the fans on the West coast in the mix.
