I almost guessed it exactly right but I had Texas ahead of OSU. That’s pretty much it boys, feels like Bama is locked out by this stupid committee who is in love with the weak Pac12. Shoot, I’m no longer confident Bama jumps UGA with a win on Saturday.

I think there is now only 1 path for Bama, which starts with winning the SEC. We some how need fewer undefeateds left and fewer 1 loss teams. So we need Mich and Wash to be the only undefeated. That gives Oregon 2 losses and out. Need FSU to lose and they are out. Then it comes down to 1 loss, conference champs Texas and Bama vs 1 loss non conference champs OSU and UGA.

I think that is the only hope we have. If Oregon beats Wash, this committee would probably put both Oregon and Wash in which is why I think we now need a Wash victory.

An ESPN guy using ESPN "computer polls" for the narrative. Surprising.
Here's what the actual BCS computers think (spoiler alert, Alabama is ranked 5-8):
This is the first week I've seen any computer rank Alabama 8, but in this case that one 8th ranking would be tossed. If Alabama beats Georgia the computer rankings are going to fall in love with Alabama. Georgia is ranked 1-3.

This is what 'deserves to be there' looks like:

It’s not about TCU’s record that irks me, they lost, they should’ve fallen. Just like everyone else. These committees have dropped teams for not winning pretty enough, but don’t drop a team for actually losing? That’s the problem I have.

I would’ve felt the same had Alabama not been involved in that nonsense last. You lose, you drop. How far you drop depends on the quality of who, and how, you lost.

To me it's more about the fact that literally everyone knew that TCU had no chance to win the CFP, but they stuck them in anyway. This is what 'deserves' gets you instead of 'best'.

Same with FSU and Washington this year, for example.

Bama Fatigue caused all of this. We should have been in last year. We may get left out this year even if we win the SEC. In the end you just have to hold you head high and walk the walk. You want Bama? Then play us.

Oregon being the top ranked 1 loss team is so stupid. The only reason the idiot committee guy gave tonight was because they were pounding bad teams. For Oregon, they are basically only looking at the margin of victory and not who they are playing, which is a cupcake schedule. Meanwhile Texas and Bama have navigated much tougher schedules but get no credit for it from this stupid committee.

If the rankings they released today hold (which assumes we lose), this is going to be the weakest playoff field they have ever had. Usually there is 1 kinda weak team in there. Some more questionable than others (ahem, TCU). But Wash & FSU are both a joke and frankly I think Michigan is questionable. Especially considering their performance in the post season across the last 5yrs, especially their playoff performance.

The college game was honestly really down across the board this year, and that includes Alabama. It has resulted in a lot of weak undefeated teams from weak conferences.

We may not get in because of human meddling this year. But their 12 team playoff just made them irrelevant.
The conspiracy theorist voice in me almost makes me think that the committee is using these rankings to say “see, we really need the ridiculous 12 team playoff, because lots of teams deserve to play for the title!”

Flip side - Bama wants in? Don't lose by 10 at home.

Texas looked far more prepared than Bama. No excuses.

Accept if this was next year, a win Saturday gets Bama in. We would still control our destiny, unlike this year.
Again, not trying to beat the dead horse, but Bama did control their destiny.

It frustrates me that we have a thread claiming Saban should be a COTY finalist when he had this team playing like absolute garbage for two of the first three games this season, despite having one of the most talent-rich teams in CFB history.

He's the goat, but dang, he dropped the ball this season.
