I think even if we somehow blow UGA out, we’re not getting in. I don’t care the circumstance, this committee has shown they’re not letting Bama in. I’m almost to the point I’d like to see UGA blow everyone out in the playoffs.
Texas looked like a far better team that night than Alabama. Had the game been anywhere but Tuscaloosa then it’s likely a worse result.Flip side - Bama wants in? Don't lose by 10 at home.
Texas looked far more prepared than Bama. No excuses.
From what I recall, my big issue with TCU's ranking last year was not Alabama being left out, it was the seeding for TCU. It was absolutely terrible and made no sense. It’s not about TCU’s record that irks me, they lost, they should’ve fallen. Just like everyone else. These committees have dropped teams for not winning pretty enough, but don’t drop a team for actually losing? That’s the problem I have.
I would’ve felt the same had Alabama not been involved in that nonsense last. You lose, you drop. How far you drop depends on the quality of who, and how, you lost.
This isn‘t a well coached team. No reason we shouldn’t be 12-0 with maybe one game close. We haven’t played a complete game all season and let a bunch of busters hang around.Again, not trying to beat the dead horse, but Bama did control their destiny.
It frustrates me that we have a thread claiming Saban should be a COTY finalist when he had this team playing like absolute garbage for two of the first three games this season, despite having one of the most talent-rich teams in CFB history.
He's the goat, but dang, he dropped the ball this season.
Well… fans keep making excuses whether it be refs or injuries. Meanwhile Georgia has had a helllacious year full of injuries and a bad run with the refs yet stand undefeated and #1.Again, not trying to beat the dead horse, but Bama did control their destiny.

I dig bro. But what are we now compared to then? Proven?Flip side - Bama wants in? Don't lose by 10 at home.

Maybe I've read something he wrote on espn, but don't know. Is he related to Bob Connelly? Not kidding, you've never heard of Bill Connolly?
Sorry, not trying to call you out, but if so I'm surprised.
New QB, two new coordinators. New LT. Against a veteran team who schemed for 9 months. I’m willing to give a bit of a pass.Again, not trying to beat the dead horse, but Bama did control their destiny.

It made perfect sense. THEY SEEDED THEM THAT WAY TO AVOID AN IMMEDIATE REMATCH BETWEEN OHIO ST AND MICHIGAN.From what I recall, my big issue with TCU's ranking last year was not Alabama being left out, it was the seeding for TCU. It was absolutely terrible and made no sense.
Either you rank the team where they deserve to be, or you have no right ranking them in the first place. It made perfect sense. THEY SEEDED THEM THAT WAY TO AVOID AN IMMEDIATE REMATCH BETWEEN OHIO ST AND MICHIGAN.
The ranking of 3 and 4 is not really as important as ranking 1 and 2.
If we win and don’t get in then we get Tulane in the Peach Bowl… That’s most likely our prize if we lose as well.I still can’t believe Alabama escaped in the Iron Bowl. An absolute debacle.
The fact remains that Alabama could easily have 2 perhaps 3 losses right now.
Ending Georgia’s streak in Atlanta and going to the Fiesta Bowl would be a stellar end to the year.
I personally don’t think Alabama has the horses to pull another 2021 out of their hat. I seriously hope I’m wrong.
Immediate rematches and situations in which the #1 team is effectively playing a true road game should never happen. That is why #3 and #4 really don’t matter other than they are the two teams that got in last.Either you rank the team where they deserve to be, or you have no right ranking them in the first place.
You are right, we suck, we have no chance Saturday, we have zero argument for being a top team, and we should definitely get left out of the playoff. No need to even play the games. Go ahead and pencil us out for next year too and take away the 2020 title because it was a weird year.Well… fans keep making excuses whether it be refs or injuries. At some point we have to accept that we are in this position because we for 4-5 straight weeks didn’t play well. It really wasn’t until the second half vs Tennessee that we ever looked like the #4 team in the nation.

Seriously, this is how some of y’all come off in your quest to be “realists”.
Troll or Cow? Or both?I still can’t believe Alabama escaped in the Iron Bowl. An absolute debacle.

The night the Tide lost at home by double digits is precisely when they lost control of their own destiny.
remember, Nick has gone unbeaten only twice. Twice in 17 years…..
If we played UGAs schedule, would we be 12-0? If so, this argument is pointlessThat is because you read what you want and not what is actually being said.
Who knows… Yes, no, maybe…If we played UGAs schedule, would we be 12-0? If so, this argument is pointless
Because you said it doesn’t make it any less insaneWhat’s weird is that everyone laughed at the idea that even in a doomsday scenario that the SEC would get left out when I posted this in October but many of the naysayers on that thread are fearing that the potential is possibly correct.
