I would be hugely surprised if it’s DR. I just don’t see a “winning” (and apparently very satisfied) coach leaving a pro HC gig. He’s been an assistant in the pros for a while.
Would love it, just don’t see it.
I agree with you, but these people not seeing the appeal of hiring him just baffles me.

Has anyone watched his 49rs coached defenses? Has anyone ever watched Houston play football before this year? The guy coaches like he played.
Part of the issue there, and the same with BeBoer is that recruiting is a huge part of the game and perhaps even more important with NIL and the portal, where you have constant shifts.

I don't think anyone is questioning the ability of either to coach well, the question is whether or not they can come in and maintain the roster and that's a whole other thing.

I mean a lot of people are down on Dabo due to his issues the past couple of years with the roster, and he's still coming off a 9 win season and currently has the 12th ranked recruiting class. The bar has been set pretty high.

I knew that was coming
i wanted to get it out of the way. but seriously he is currently talking at Dreamland in Northport at a private booth with Bell and Byrne telling them how they made the right choice and he will revolutionize the SEC by bringing in the triple option over a slab of overpriced ribs.
