Well, you're only young once...
I paid less than $500 for my first vehicle it was a 78 Dodge Power Wagon truck. Working my butt off to earn enough money to buy that truck made me really appreciate it even more. Kids this day expect a car for 16th birthday and apparently if you are a star athlete only the high end luxury cars will do lol.

It's getting to the point where you have to think kids might start staying in school instead of going pro because the paydays are higher. :D
I think for the short term, you may very well be spot on. But, as this "thing" continues to evolve (in the wrong direction mind you) these business people and their businesses will begin to be a lot more shrewd in their NIL contracts, and as with anything that deals with money, "good" business folks are always trying to construct it where they have all or the majority leverage and recourse. I see NIL lawsuits in the future between player and payer for things like breach of contract, and all types of legal mess that the adults often get into when dealing with contracts. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling I'm not.

I give Beck a 50/50 chance of wrecking the car within a year.

My money says he didn't get the base model.

It has been said many times before on Tidefans that the NIL and Transfer Portal have, or will soon, ruin college football. Coach Saban saw this and wisely said "I am outta here". Never thought I would say this, but I am not looking forward to the upcoming football season and that includes Alabama. Maybe I will have mellowed out by September, but right now my interest level is very low.

I'm just holding out hope something will be done about the transfer portal which I think if done right, will greatly reduce the current volatility in CFB which includes the impact of the NIL.

we were talking abut cars at work and found an Aston Martin for almost 400k. what kind of idiot pays that for a car? even if I had billions, I would not pay that for a car.
TBF, if you had billions, what else would you spend it on other than house and car...?

Though that particular car, I would NEVER buy...billions or not.

I would spend it on some hawt women that only love me for my billions
I’d pay off all my debts and then live off of interest. I’d give to some of my favorite charities, take care of some necessities for a few people in our community, buy a little more land, college funds for my kids, but I’d still farm, teach, and coach like I always have. I’d still shop and same old stores and drive same old vehicles 😂
