Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
this pretty much sums it up. From our perspective the only team that doesn’t control their own destiny for a double bye is USC if we win Saturday.

SEC seedings as of today.......

I think it's UT's tourney to lose. I've watched them several times lately and they just deal with every team's best shot, but most of the game they are leading 5-10 points.

I'd never pull for them to do it, but I think they could make a run at the NC.

As for Bama, unless our 3 point shooting returns, we could easily get bounced by UF in our first game in this bracket's layout.

Yeah this bunch is extremely vulnerable to anybody when their shots aren't falling because we hardly play Defense at all.

Plus for several years now if a team gets physical with us we fold like paper.

The good news is we play much better in neutral site settings than on the road so if we could somehow get hot and get a lucky draw we might make the SECT CG and have a chance to pull it off.

The NCAAT will be the same thing.

If we get a good matchup with the seeding/draw we could make the sweet 16 but if we faced a physical team in Round 1 and we go cold we could get bounced immediately.

Not a fan of drawing Florida in that first game.
I dunno....series is tied 1-1 and this would, in essence, be the rubber game.

To be perfectly honest, I really thought Bama was going to beat Florida in that last game. Because of all the talent on your team.

Both teams have talent but we've seen both teams lay eggs and we've seen both teams look unbeatable.

March Madness! 🏀 ;)

Honestly, looking at the projected bracket, I think I'd rather be either a 2 seed, or a 4 seed (if this holds). Tennessee is kind of the team I want to face on Saturday, IF Wrightsell is 100%. It is supremely difficult to beat a team three times in the same season and it took us shooting somewhere close to 0% the last 7 or 8 minutes for them to beat us, and that was without Wrightsell. I would feel really good about our chances the third time around.

Kentucky is another team I'd like a rematch with on a neutral site if we're
100% healthy,. This is all if we are 100%, though. If Wirghtsell is still limited, I'm not sure we go far in the SEC tournament. If he's 100%, then I think we have a decent shot at winning it, assuming we have no more casualties.

In each two game series this season in which Alabama played good teams - Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida, we struggled to win or lost at home, and got destroyed on the road.

Alabama is not as good as those three teams. It will be an upset if we win.

The good news is that there aren’t many 13 seeds that fit that model.

Remember all, Basketball isn’t football. Any decent team can take down a powerhouse on any night. 20% lift in shooting during a 40 minute game can take a tie game and turn it into a 30 point blowout.

2-3 well timed bad calls can also create a 15-20 point swing. Basketball is a game of momentum. And if you go back and look at those losses, everyone of them had 2-3 places where our momentum turned on those calls.

when we are on, we have multiple 8-10 point runs. Stop those halfway with a bad call, 15-20 point swing

I think we make it to Sweet 16, and even if we don’t, this has been a really fun “rebuilding” year

May be a controversial take, but I think we need to "forget" about extending more energy on defense and just embrace we are the best offensive team in the country. We may have to win some high scoring games, but I think we have a better chance doing so than trying to grind out a defensive struggle.

For instance, I think we played our best defensive game against UT, but lost 81-74. I think we used so much energy on the defensive side that we were a step slower on the offensive side. We would have had a better chance in a high scoring affair.

Basically, we need to "dance with who brought us" and that's just being dynamic on offense!

I don't think we necessarily are, but it is close. I think at our best, we are better than they are at their best. But we've not really reached that level of play as consistently.

I do think the team is capable of going on a run. But that's a tough hump to get over in that first game. I think of the top 4 seeds, we got the toughest draw (which is reasonable as the 4th seed).

Sure but now the games are being played at a neutral site, so I think it's anyone's game to win. Just my humble opinion, as always....:)

I'm hoping we don't wind up the 4th seed. Hopefully UT beats UK and MSU beats SC tomorrow.

I hope I am wrong but I think we don't get past Florida. We needed overtime to beat them at home and then they curb stomped us. Maybe not an awful thing to have more time to rest.

We play best when a team hasn’t played us yet. The second time you see us we are easier to defend. Except for LSU apparently.

The first time, we were without Wrightsell, so that's likely the reason it was so close at home. We are awful on the road, so the result this week wasn't surprising at all. And again, Wrightsell only played 8 minutes. The fact that Wrightsell has been out so long, is vastly understated imo. That's why I don't understand the "sky is falling" mentality after the last 2 games. We lost, but were undermanned. We also don't have to play on the road again this year, and I think that is going to be heavily to our benefit

Say what you want about JQ leaving, and I don't really think it would've made a difference most of the year, but these last few weeks are when we really could have used the depth. We just ran out of gas playing underhanded. Having the week off should recharge us. I think many people here are going to be pleasantly surprised by how well we play when we are finally back to 100%.
