Me too!!!

If I had to bet on it, I’d say the real QB depth chart - the one that we will never hear about which is very fluid and only exists in the heads of the coaches - is probably about like this…

QB1 - Milroe until and unless someone else looks better in practice between now and the first game

QB2 - Simpson OR Lonergan OR Mack - whoever looks best between now and the first game

I can’t for the life of me understand how or why any objective football fan could convince themselves that any spot is taken at this point. Defeats the whole purpose of practice!
I don't know anything for sure. But based on what I've read the "rep" chart right now is...
QB1 Milroe
QB2 Simpson
QB3 Mack
QB4 Lonergan

Using the rep chart term because I don't think there is a real depth chart at this point. But its still early and we'll likely learn more tomorrow after the scrimmage and then on A-day. But if Lonergan is the 4th QB then it would make sense to me if he is a transfer candidate.

I wonder if Mack started at the back of the line as a transfer, which makes sense, and I wonder if he has already “passed DL” in the coaches‘ minds

OR

If he has possibly told them the “order of reps” has no bearing on any future depth chart and if it maybe even changes from practice to practice so that each QB gets reps with each WR???

I wish I knew

Sorry, I didn't mean to make this a QB thread. I just think Lonergan could be a potential transfer candidate.
If indeed Lonergan has been passed by Mack, you're right. I'd think Lonergan would transfer out. Mack is going to be a tough one to beat for someone that also has virtually no playing time in a real game. Milroe and Simpson are older, Simpson has a little game experience. Mack is familiar with DeBoer's system. Lonergan has his work cut out for him.

Getting close to this epic spring transfer portal, does anyone have their ear to the ground at some other programs as to who might be packing their bags?
