SCOTUS actually got it right on gun regulation, for once.

Respondent Zackey Rahimi was indicted under 18 U. S. C. §922(g)(8), a federal statute that prohibits individuals subject to a domestic violence restraining order from possessing a firearm...

...Held: When an individual has been found by a court to pose a credible threat to the physical safety of another, that individual may be temporarily disarmed consistent with the Second Amendment. Pp. 5–17.

Testing their control of the court...
Undoubtedly, but why? This is a strange hill to die on (particularly in light of tons of legal precedent getting in the way.) What's the end game here? As the unofficial board cynic, it's my duty to point out that this feels like they are setting the kindling for something, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what. Whatever it is, it isn't good.

I think there is a lot of evidence in this forum detailing what their intent is... And you are correct it isnt good.

Many of the founding fathers kept the Jewish Torah and the Islamic Quran and studied them well. Those books are of historical significance and influenced the founders.

I guess that means we will see them taught in Oklahoma schools as well.
If you teach the Bible you are automatically teaching from the Torah as well.

Side note, I think this is a terrible idea.

Depends what parts you are teaching from, I guess. If you are teaching from all of it then yes. If you are teaching the 10 commandments, yes. If you are teaching children to kill homosexuals in the street, yes.

But it is a terrible idea.

Teaching in general about different world religions?

Great idea. Cultural awareness is important.

Treating public school like Sunday school?

Horrible idea.

Judaism and Christianity approach interpretation of scripture in vastly different fashions.
When it relates to some things yes and some things no. They wouldn’t see prophecy the same in some instances, and would differ on n the afterlife, but otherwise they would be very close in how they handle the rest of the Old Testament.
