Funny how the SCOTUS is smart and correct when they make decisions some agree with while other decisions show 'the decline of SCOTUS into a partisan political body'.

:ROFLMAO:
When they completely ignore both precedent AND the Constitution and twist themselves into pretzels to reach the desired results of protecting their boy, taking away rights (like the ability to have a doctor save your life and ability to reproduce), and conclude that oppressive laws that violate federal law and the Constitution should be enforced - well, I think it's silly to say it like you did. It's hard to take that rhetoric seriously.

In the unlikely event that the disintegration of the Kennedy/Shanahan ticket is enough to put Trump over the top, I'll just be sitting here sipping my tea wondering if anybody learns anything from it.

Perfectly on par, thank you.

The ability to drink alcohol is not a enshrined right in our constitution, nor does it help elect our leaders.
Owning a firearm is - try to buy one without an ID.

I get that some (most?) of the righties are wanting this to disenfranchise, but the reality is we have NO IDEA how many illegals are voting since no ID is required to register. So constantly claiming it's a 'non issue' is lying - we have no idea how much of an issue it is or not.

Easily solvable, but the lefties won't even consider this. Basically every other democratic country on the planet requires ID to (at the very least register to) vote: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_identification_laws

So I am what you would classify as a swing voter.
I have actually voted for more Republican presidential candidates than I have Democrats.

Until something else viable emerges, the needle moves between Republican and Democrat ideologies. I want my vote to influence that needle so for the foresseable future I will likely vote Democrat. I vote for the needle not for or against a particular party or candidate.

Imo, not voting or voting for an obscure party candidate doesnt move the needle. In fact, I would argue it amplifies the extremists votes within the Republican and Democrat parties.

If we want to change this country for the better and more to our liking, i believe we must become swing voters between the parties.
Thanks for sharing, but I've been done with voting for the 'lesser of two evils'. I've not done it in two decades and I'm not going back.

keep telling yourself that.
Since you're all-in, please go ahead and explain how we know that everyone who is registered is a legal US citizen without any requirement of proof. There must be some process I'm blissfully unaware of, so TIA for explaining the mechanism by which we know all voters are legal.

Bonus points if you can explain why virtually every other liberal democracy requires identification at least register.

As I've said multiple times - I vote, I just don't generally vote for dems or reps.
So you admit you're just throwing your vote away.....

I've been accused of this so many times, it's practically cliché. I just respond by telling them they are throwing their country away and step. One can read that chapter only so many times.

When I use the term "in my opinion", it is to soften my post or point of view. It always puts me off when someone posts their opinion as if it were fact, so I like to show that I know the difference between opinion and fact by using that term.

It's intended as a courtesy to the reader.

Kamala Harris promised Americans a future that neither Donald Trump nor Joe Biden could deliver, showing how profoundly she has changed the 2024 election.

The first Black woman to claim a major party nomination on Thursday styled her “unlikely journey” to the Democratic nod as the springboard to lift the country to a new place after years being torn apart by its bitter divides.

The vice president, who no one thought would be the candidate even five weeks ago, offered voters a clear choice in a steady and patriotic Democratic National Convention address in Chicago.
