Bryant would never have been allowed to coach today. Different man, different era.
He would have had tons of lawsuits against him wrt how he practiced. No way he would be allowed to coach in today's game. Saban was Bryant lite and the day finally came where the culture drove him and his style out of the game.

How many of us know if there aren't any consequences being handed out? Many times it's not for you to know! We are making uninformed, blind assumptions.
No one knows or said there aren't any. The main theme is there has to be consequences. I'm sure a reporter will ask and we'll get some indication. But there has to be consequences, be it internal or bench time.

My biggest concern is that what we saw last night was simply a symptom of a bigger problem. I am not talking as any individual, I am talking as a team culture. It will be interesting to see if and how it is addressed. If it is not, it might be a long season and a short tenure. That was not how Bama teams conduct themselves; not how we do business. I would rather be mediocre than see us turn into the “U”…

Who's going to fill his shoes on an already anemic defense? I think he should get some sort of practice in-house punishment, but we can't afford to have him miss a game. We can't afford another loss or there will be no playoffs and the fans will go crazy and the message boards will break the servers!
Who'll replace him on the field is irrelevant. Behavior like that is cancerous, and must be excised before it spreads to the entire team.

Turn a blind eye to this, and we watch our program rot from the inside out.

MM’s effort during the 4th Q seemed lacking. Acting like a toddler and kicking the ball was pathetic. Refusing to come off the field…pathetic. No coach stepping in and making him…pathetic. CKD’s comments brushing it off during the post game presser…pathetic.

Losing to Vandy…beyond pathetic. Hasn’t happened since Perkins was our coach.

havent read the whole thread...however, he was burnt on the 4th and 1 and at the end on 3rd down for a pass for a first when we needed the ball back....a leader takes care of their own business first...he did not have a good game

Moore is a leader. He has to be the one person to show some restraint. True enough, CNS would have laid into him but we’re in a new era. I’m hopeful he’ll take that energy and it translates to better play/leadership in the future.

But going forward, I won’t be surprised if you see more players acting out simply because we’re in this NIL/TP era and some players simply don’t care about actions and leadership but just a check.

We gotta get it together

That's the first time I've seen him out of character and to that point of frustration. I don't think it warrants a game suspension. I'd give him a warning about his actions and maybe some in practice punishment. He didn't go out and get a ticket or anything. He just lost his cool.

I think Milroe was benched so he could show the fans what the other QBs looked like in a game.
Nope, his behavior after th e Texas loss got him benched. Apparently he acted a Donkey in a film room meeting after the Texas game and Saban benched him. It had nothing to do with "showing the fans" anything.

Hmmm. Didn't know that but still. Saban said later it was to get him to change his style of play. So .... I think there were multiple reasons for that game and Saban knew we could win it without Milroe. CNS acted in mysterious ways.
