I loved Mike Shula as well as a player. Timing, his experience, and some poor luck all may have played a role in his failure here as a coach. It all worked out we got Saban!

Alabama's character is getting torched on Gameday right now. CKD has to realize he is part of a larger thing than himself. There are a lot people who have an investment in this program and how it handles itself. He cant set the culture entirely on his perspective and values. The culture is largely already engrained in the program.
