Any word on Domani Jackson? Woemack is clearly not the answer. He makes Pete Godling look good.

DeBoer's take is that Alabama stayed the course after the bounces did not go their way. Wrong. Until the on side kick, every bounce went Alabama's way.

Yes - more bad coaching
Oh come on now, 9,999 of 10,000 players would score on that play in that situation. Your comment comes with the benefit of knowing what happened afterwards, so easy to criticize and claim what you'd have done with that knowledge in your pocket. Good grief. There's plenty of things coach can, and should, be blamed for but that's not one of them.

How did they regress so quickly
This team, particularly defensively, hasn’t regressed in my opinion. Our deficiencies were always there. Go and look at the 4th down conversion rates going into Vanderbilt. We were NOT stopping drives. Teams were grinding us down with long drives. Then the offense goes out and either scores quickly or doesn’t sustain a drive and that already stressed defense is back on the field.
Wommack is playing “bend but don’t break”. Don’t give up the big play. Two problems: We ARE giving up the big play AND not stopping the other teams long, time consuming drives that lead to score. Not a good recipe for success.

Post game press conferences:

Beamer: "Everybody expected to win the game."

DeBoer: "Very unified group that understands there is so much more we can get better at."

The decision to run one more play in 2Q was horrendously bad, even worse than trying to throw from our 12 after a stupid penalty, and would have cost us the game if South Carolina were reasonably competent.

I am still happy with CKD, but the Georgia win was the worst thing to happen to our fanbase and our team. We had/have delusions of grandeur but just gonna struggle through this transition. We need to be honest about that. I just don't ever see our defense knocking someone back, we get drug making tackles.

But the back your players going for points near the half was just stupid.
Yeah, after two sacks in a row, it's time to just take a knee and live to fight another day.

I realize we may not deserve to be in however 9-3 and in the top ten will get us in the conversation…if I didn’t say that I meant too. But there will be few undefeated teams some with 2 or three losses
Not so sure we will be in the top ten when the selection is made for the playoffs, especially with a bad loss to Vandy. If we drop two more games, and that is probable, I can't see us in the playoffs. We still have Tennessee, Oklahoma, and LSU coming up. Also, regardless of Auburn's record, they always come ready to play when they face us. Honestly, these future games will be an uphill battle with our defense.

The one we didn’t kick. It was a mistake not to at least try.
I agree, kinda. The defense was gassed, lost and out-coached. Alabama needed a miracle to win. DeBoer decided to let his players decide it on the field. Even though I knew it would backfire, I understood the decision.

Trying for the onside kick means that you need to fire your DC because you have given up on him and the players on that side of the ball.
