Oh come on now, 9,999 of 10,000 players would score on that play in that situation. Your comment comes with the benefit of knowing what happened afterwards, so easy to criticize and claim what you'd have done with that knowledge in your pocket. Good grief. There's plenty of things coach can, and should, be blamed for but that's not one of them.
Nope - said it at the time. Was yelling for him to go down when he caught it.

Remember how the Chiefs won the Super Bowl a couple years? The guy decided to make the right play for the team.

I think Carolina is a much better team than anyone gives them credit for. A solid D, with a hit or miss offense. They held UM to 27 as well. But there is no reason on God’s green earth that that SC offense should score that much in BDS… or Columbia for that matter. The defense needs a come to Jesus meeting.
SC finishes 6-6 at best

Nah. I said it at the time, should have gone down at the 1. Clock was inside 2min and SC had already burned a few TOs.

The problem is, the media is STILL so in love with us. They still see us as that hot young supermodel that we were in the peak of the Saban era. We've aged and put on weight, but you can't tell the media that. So they keep on hyping us because we beat Georgia. And they're still hyping us even after a loss to Vanderbilt and surviving against South Carolina. The players buy into that and it's hurting us. Just my .02

We dont seem to have an identity on either side of the ball. On defense we are passive too often, and tackle poorly giving free yards..we prolong drives by poor discipline. And our pressure on the QB is very inconsistent. On offense its all about JM..and we empty the backfield with an OL that consistently cannot block our opponents. The coaching isnt helping the players in obvious situations...like the end of half...giving up a safety and a FG is just horrible football on the field and the sideline. The whole team seems disjointed.

Good to win especially with this team as it in now. I said at beginning of season we will lose in Knoxville and I have seen nothing that changes my mind, however I suspect the rest of the season following that to win games much like we saw today. Exception may be at LSU or Oklahoma. If we are 9-3 we are in the playoff conversation if we drop all three we are 8-4 sitting in a bowl game.

I realize our defense is young but they made the stops needed in the second half. It isn’t pretty but it is a win
9-3 with a 2 pt win at home against a 21pt underdog and lose to 24 pt underdog Vandy we are out and should be.

This team, particularly defensively, hasn’t regressed in my opinion. Our deficiencies were always there. Go and look at the 4th down conversion rates going into Vanderbilt. We were NOT stopping drives. Teams were grinding us down with long drives. Then the offense goes out and either scores quickly or doesn’t sustain a drive and that already stressed defense is back on the field.
Wommack is playing “bend but don’t break”. Don’t give up the big play. Two problems: We ARE giving up the big play AND not stopping the other teams long, time consuming drives that lead to score. Not a good recipe for success.
She is talking about from last season to this season. Basically the same team- totally different results.

Did I hear Rammer Jammer in the broadcast?

I know I probably did, but I kinda hate playing it after games like this...
Of course you did. They play it after every win. Regardless of how struggle or how barely we pull it out. No use hoping the band leader is going to make a quality of win decision and not play it. Save your disappointment for the defensive coordinator.
