A lot of talk (especially by young Tennessee fans) has been made of how much of a phenom Nico is.

He looked great against Kent State, NC State and Chattanooga. Dang near immortal. Didn't look like world beaters against Oklahoma but that game was never in doubt thanks to the Sooners inept offense.

But against other SEC play, Nico has come down to earth and now is looking like your normal very good freshman prospect. Probably arrogant from their Okie win, they lost to Arkansas (who is improved but should not have been able to beat Tennessee) and almost lost to Sunbelt Billy last night.

I think Bama and Tennessee are more alike than anything.

Anyways, despite our defensive woes, I think we match up really well against these guys. Looks like we are favored by a couple of points maybe but since it's on the road, I would put it as a push. Dunno who will win but I think it will be another nail biter to the end.

Somehow I think we take this game seriously and put forth effort and focus.
I kinda go with the thinking that at this point of the season you kinda know what the potential ceilings and floors everyone is. I don’t think Tennessee has been great at all. They haven’t seen an offense like Alabama.

Whether it be 1 point or 20. I think we walk out with a W in one hand and a cigar in another.

We can’t stop the run. Tennessee is a running team. If we get Law back, our offense might be able to outscore them. His absence has been devastating to our ability to get outside on offense. I have no faith in our defense though.
I’m hoping that those few pressure plays against SCAR showed the staff the secondary is almost ready to take up the extra load for coverage when you blitz.

I’m also hoping they realize freshmen are still freshmen when the pressure comes.

I am very worried about this game. The last two teams nickeled and dimed us up and down the field. These guys are going to go HUHN and take deep shots against the secondary. We need a great plan and week of preparation.

For those who's saying Tennessee was looking ahead to Alabama.... I don't think that's the case. I definitely don't feel that way. Tennessee hasn't been playing well the last two weeks. Nino hasn't been making good decisions with the ball lately.

So it's simple game plan. Do what Florida did, but add a twist to it. Be aggressive, and stay after Nino. Make him throw ball a lot. Force turnovers.

Yeah, I could understand it if they hadn't lost last week to Arkasnas, but since that happened, I highly doubt they were looking ahead. If that's the case, then maybe we were looking ahead too lol, but I highly doubt that's the case. That said, I can't speak for Tennessee, but I do believe we play down to our competition quite a bit, so I expect us to be ready

according to some of our fans, teams only care about playing and beating Alabama. It is nonsense of course.

I agree. I think some of us have an inferiority complex because we lost and then won a game by 2 points.
