This game.....Heupel won't have to throw much because we get gashed up the middle. Their defense will bring blitzes and pressures and rattle Milroe.

Does our D just sit back as usual and let the other team run right through them? If they do, we lose big.

Do they pressure Milroe into a making a mistake.....mistakes he's been prone to make the last 2 weeks especially? If they do, its going to get ugly.

How do we handle the atmosphere? Will we come out with so much emotion that we go up 28-0....only to fizzle as the game goes on because all the adrenaline as worn off?

I have no read on this game, but if the last 2.5 games are what we truly are then we are in trouble.

We have looked bad the last two games and Tennessee has looked bad the last two games, so expect a high scoring game from both teams. I do want to see us kind of gamble more and send more blitzes on third and long. We may get burned a couple of times, but if we can get a few more stops during the game because of it, I think it's worth the gamble.

So they've been looking ahead to us for 3 weeks? They lost to Arkansas and barely beat Florida.
No, just last week perhaps. Against Arkansas I think they started feeling too confident after they took a 14-3 lead midway through the 3rd quarter. It's easy to lose momentum on the road and never get it back if something good happens for the home team. But I think if they have two games coming up against Florida and Alabama it's obvious which game they're more excited about playing.

For some reason, I feel like this won't be a high-scoring game but a mistake-laden game instead. I expect sloppy play, mental mistakes, and turnovers. Not unlike what we saw last week out of both teams. It will be an ugly win, I'm just not sure who will be the victor.

Also bad officiating. Forgot to mention that.

We haven't had the Autrey crew yet this year. I guess we won't know who we have until the first penalty is called.

A couple of things we have to do on defense, pressure Nico and not let him get in a rhythm, if he does and gets hot we are in trouble, slow down Sampson, this guy is big and strong and doesn't go down on contact, on offense we have to establish the run and keep UT off the field and I really don't believe this coaching staff knows how to control the clock because they are so wide open on offense, I really don't know if I can watch this game and I've been a fan for 60+ years and I've never said that before but I think it could get ugly quick RTR

So...stop the run on defense...which we struggle to do...and establish the run on offense...which we haven't been able to do (in fact we haven't tried)...those are our keys to victory?

Uh-oh

This is always the most important regular season game for me.

I HATE Tennessee.

I just hope that this sentiment has been properly conveyed to the New Staff.

This is our #1 Rival with a bullet and exclamation point.

To borrow a line from TxB

"We're going to Win"
I can't think of a season where we lost to them and went on to have a really good year, as in making the playoffs or getting to the SEC championship game.

It's because those setting the lines have watched both teams play, we focus on Bama. Most Bama fans remember seeing tennessee hang 70 points on those high school teams they started the season playing but haven't watched them struggle against OU, Arky, and Florida.
Not really related to that at all. It is because far more people and money will be better on Alabama.

I never pick the score, but this game I honestly have no idea. Nothing will shock me. We blow them out, they blow us out, close game, 28 overtimes, etc. Who knows?
I think DzynKing is spot on with his non-prediction. I feel that if both offenses are in sync and not turning over the ball it is a a push. If it gets down to defenses, I believe Tennessee has the advantage here and being in Knoxville should give them an advantage, how much who the hell knows. Of course DzynKing will not see the game since he will be out hiking with his 'hawt' co-worker. :alien:

When will we know which ref crew will be working the vomit game? If it is the same from a couple of years ago then time to start bullhorning the SEC office non stop until Saturday.

I think their all world QB has struggled ever since he started seeing SEC defenses. He was lighting up the cupcakes but looks like a totally different quarterback since.
Well, we've had a real knack for making mediocre QBs look like Tom Brady going all the way back to start of Saban's tenure.

I think we play to the level of competition and just win ugly. I will take a w however it comes. We have more talent top to bottom and I think that is what will win in the end. The only way I see us losing is if we lose both the turnover and the penalty battles.

TN MLB is out for the season.
"Pili, a seventh-year senior, suffered a torn ACL".

Of course, you always hate to see injuries, no matter what the team is, but "7th year senior player"?
How is it fair to allow 7th year senior player to play?
This guy probably had a covid year plus a medical redshirt or two. He is 26 years old.
Haynes, who is Alabama starting RB is 19.
NCAA should probably have some age limit to prevent this.
