I've seen Ryan Williams do it after scoring. I don't remember if it was at practice or in pregame warm ups, he wore a shirt that said shoot everyone.
I've heard nothing about a shirt talking about shooting people, is this what you're remembering?
If so, you should watch "The Program"...
Shooting a weapon, brandishing a weapon, miming killing someone, etc doesn't have a place in athletics. As a coach you set the tone for what is tolerated. The problem isn't just NIL and transfer portal, coaches are getting fired at such a high rate that most of them are now skipping the "lets teach them life lessons and how to be men" part and have a "just win baby" approach. We don't put a premium on what kind of person their program is building. As long as the scoreboard looks good we are ok. That falls on fans, AD's, school presidents, alumni, and boosters. If we want to let coaches teach young men how to be upstanding citizens, fathers, and men then we need to give them time to do that. If suspending your best player for a game is what is best for instituting that culture, it may cost you a game. You can't have it both ways.
Go back and watch the replay of the 1994 SEC championship. Reidel Anthony has a long TD reception and as soon as he gets into the end zone, turns around and wields a fake 12 gauge and proceeds to "shoot" each Alabama DB that he had just beat.
I think this all much ado about nothing. Our opinions are exactly that and it's based on our personal experiences. There are people (I'm not one) that find it offensive for Tebow to put Bible verses under their eyes or tie making a touchdown to religion. There are those that don't like "hot dogging" at all and they want the player to just hand the ball to the official (Me). There are those that like the celebrations, even the California Quake + the Six shooter (Butch Johnson). Now, we don't know what type of person Ryan Williams is unless you are in his circle.
What has Old time football produced? it's produced a variety of human beings with typical vices of human beings. Some turned out to be Alcoholics, some very righteous, some in between. Some of Coach Bryant's and Saban's have strayed and done some very bad things. People are people!
If a coach is responsible for turning out players that turn out to be upstanding members of society, then why don't they get the blame when ex-players or even players go astray and do awful thngs?

Personally I feel as if they should have a permit or they shouldn't be allowed to brandish their imaginary pew pew's
I noticed that during one of the games.
Someone should advise him to not wear that anymore.
I don't think so, but I could be wrong. At almost 64 my memory isn't as sharp as it once was. If I see it I will post it.
