That’s the frustrating part. So many times on 3rd down a player is open for an automatic 1st down but we throw the 50/50 ball downfield.
The penchant for the home run. Teams know this and are actively trying to take that away. Ryan Williams had help on him most of the day. UcheaT was not letting Williams burn them deep. The way to defeat Milroe is to make him throw underneath or to a safety valve, a glaring weakness, and blitz him.

He may being told not to run. To protect his shoulder or force him to engage other skill guys in the offense.

What thought was more telling yesterday, beyond the obvious wide open receivers, was the opportunities with open field in front of him to take off and pick up 10+ yards. And it wasn’t like he hesitated, it was like he was making a conscious decision NOT to run.

That isn't happening. I blame the coaches.

Our Offense was too predictable. When I can call the coming play regularly, there is something bad wrong.
I blame Coach Deboer for leaving Milroe in the game. He was bad.
He overthrew passes, underthrew passes, threw behind receivers, and failed to really involve the Running Backs. Milroe has regressed as a QB. I understand Milroe is a nice guy, but he's throwing several interceptions a game lately.
When Milroe should have run, he didn't...

The Coaches job is not to be buddies with the players. His job is to lead the team.
Our coaches have allowed discipline to fall apart. That's Bad.
The Showboating has got to stop.

Sorry if you disagree with me, but that's my opinion.
I will not argue with you. I'm sure many will disagree, that's your right.
( I thought I might not be bitter today, but I still have bad feelings about yesterday's game )

I think I'll stay off the forum for a while. SCD.

So , the excuses continue to flow . Milroe is obviously a really good athlete . Other than that , he cannot see the field and does not have the capacity to execute his job with any degree of consistency . CKD said when he arrived that his message to Milroe was all about completions , yet he refuses to take them and when he does it's usually at least 2 counts late .

Milroe has plenty of raw talent , but has now been under the guidance of 3 OC's and it seems to be clear that he will not reach the ceiling all of us had hoped he would rise to . Is it not time to accept the obvious conclusion ? He's an average QB and will hurt you just as much as he can help you . In the SEC , especially at Alabama , average is not and will never be good enough .

He is a great athlete and a even better person. I'll breakdown for you. Every action from the offense has a reaction from the defense defensive is reactive just like the word describes. Only a few things the secondary can do in coverage all these have certain weakness you read keys such as depth and pre snap movement to begin with. at the snap of the ball other things will happen that will dictate where he should throw the ball. It won't always be perfect that's impossible but a good route from the wide out and a good throw to the right place will usually get you a catch. The farther you throw the ball down field gives the defensive player longer to react so it lessens your probability of catching the ball. That's what's suppose to happen simplistic over view.

Milroe doesn't read these keys most of the time and locks on to a receiver makes it easier on the d to make a play because he isn't throwing it to the spot on the field or wr that gives you the best chance to make yardage he is just throwing it to who he wants to. His accuracy suffers because he doesn't set his shoulders and feet how he should so the ball is off target. More complicated in this football formula is the longer the play goes the better chance your wr can get open. Milroe knows this and sometimes will hold on to the ball to long hoping to complete that long pass.

If this doesn't bore you I can move on to his option run game. He is a great athlete so sometimes that makes up for not doing qb things.

Most agree with you. There are a few hardcore Milroe fans that refuse to admit they are wrong and that he will never be the QB they want him to be.

I’ve come to believe that Milroe is that mobile QB you don’t want to play. He’s generally not great but once in a while he has an awakening and absolutely blisters you. When he’s on, he’s lightning in a bottle. When he’s not on, he’s just average. Its that “on” that scares you to play him. You just hope your game ain’t it.

I’ve torn both my rotator cuffs. The right shoulder was a complete, full thickness tear. I couldn’t bring my arm up above shoulder high. The left shoulder was about a 3/4 thickness tear. I could still raise my arm with full range of motion, but it was weak and hurt like heck on rotation. Both needed surgical repair (mattress stitch).
Milroe may not have a cuff tear, but could easily have a AC joint (acromioclavicular joint) separation, commonly referred to as a shoulder separation. Generally, much like ankle sprains they are graded 1-6 with 1 being milder without ligament tears and 3-6 much more serious.

Milroe could possibly play through a Grade 1 or 2 separation, but it would be tremendous painful. In most cases, treatment would be sitting out a few weeks. I can’t help but believe, given the way he was throwing and missing so wildly, his shoulder or neck is banged up, or he has something going on between his ears.
He doesn't have a track record for accuracy or timing. I was hopeful after the first quarter against UGA that he'd turned a corner toward progression, but I think that was more of a false positive and that he's back to what he's been in the past.

If they know about it.

If the player doesn't tell them he's hurt and it's not an obvious injury, well, that would explain a lot, wouldn't it?
I don’t think there’s a way to hide it with all the constant measuring that is going on in the training facility. He’s going to favor a shoulder injury in the weight room and the S&T staff is going to see it.

But yesterday Milroe was even more inaccurate and wild than even some of his worst days. Like you, my hope was things had started to sync for him. But yesterday seems to show the first half of UGA was the exception rather than the rule. Now it looks likes it is be compounded by the space between his ears.

Think those were a scripted drives he had 2 weeks to work on. And years of Kirbys defense doing the same things in a stubborn way that created the perfect first half for milroe. He was comfortable what to do. Strait muscle memory on those passes. Looked great

I disagree with one thing: JM hit his ceiling and it was the 1st quarter of Georgia. That was his Stephen Garcia moment. That was the ceiling and we still almost lost that game after their comeback and that's as good as you'll ever see him play.

My mom just made a good point. Since they are getting paid now, can't they now get fired?
Yes. Indeed they are employees. What are the things I liked about college football was the semi amateur status of a bunch of kids playing for a school. With a transfer portal and name image and likeness that's now gone and they're just employees, most of them.
I don't like it, but that's the lay of the land today.

Unless this phantom injury you guys are talking about is a couple of detached retinas I don’t want to hear it. This isn’t the Oline. This isn’t the play calling. This is the QB. And if you’re wondering where this pass ended up, it landed in the lap of the guy sitting in row 5.
Pretty easy to figure this out. The two guys that were wide open weren't Ryan Williams. We better find someone that can throw passes to these receivers or they'll be playing at Texas next year.
