The 1st 20 mins of that game in hindsight has to be one of the most mystifying things I've seen.

It looked as if the light had come on finally in the short to intermediate game.

But maybe it was just this short isolated period where a player got hot and played way over his head instead of actual development.

But when the chips are down he tends to continue to revert to his worst habits.

I honestly thought that we would be where we are right now after the UGA game instead of 3 games later.

But here we are 7 games into the season with a concerning problem at the QB position.

Honestly if that UGA game had been in Athens with a raucous crowd of UGA fans barking and yelling we might have seen the exact same implosion as Knoxville.

It's beyond time for another player to get an opportunity.
the only reason the short game worked against UGA was they were backing off just a bit to far to basically dare him to throw in that range. Once they tightened up just a bit so the window was not quite as wide open, the success stopped pretty quick

JM simply doesn't have self confidence in accuracy. Has a bazooka but can't consistently hit the bullseye. He seldom hits receivers in stride even when he connects. I cannot tell you the number of times coaching my oldest son in little league baseball to "Stop Pushing the Ball and THROW IT" when he was on the mound. That's what Milroe is doing, in a sense, and the INT's are in his head permanently now. Time to move on.

I had a root canal a few months ago. It was a more pleasant experience than watching Saturday's game...
I'm not sure many others feel this way but I am almost detached from this team. They don't represent who I am or what I root for. They don't play with passion, discipline, for the team, and selflessly. I still hope we have more points than our opponent but the days of me having a complete bad day are over. We are getting exactly what we deserve. Until I see otherwise I will continue to be lukewarm at best.

If the players don't care, why should the fans? It's why I hate the NFL.

*If* Milroe is playing with some injury, I wish CKD would at least address it today.

Cause this is not the same player from 3-4 weeks ago, and I don’t think it’s just because of the defenses he’s played.
yes, it is. We were all super hopeful after the first part of the UGA game, but that was an illusion based on how they played him, and once they adjusted, we are back to the norm.

Milroe will never throw accurately with any sort of consistency with the throwing mechanics he has. His shoulders, hips and feet are a disaster when he throws even with a clean pocket. He's hardly ever driving through a throw with his body, everything is almost always an arm throw.

His front shoulder flies open because his feet aren't set, his throws are going to sail.....hence why he throws deep balls fairly well....the receivers can adjust and run under them.

I'm not even going to get into his consistently late throws.....because at the absolute base level his fundamental throwing mechanics are abhorrent at this point.

I'm in the same boat. In years prior, I would have made every effort to watch a key game like 3rd Saturday, but this year there were some conflicts with kids activities and social schedule and I didn't really care about missing parts of the game to do those things because of exactly what you said about this 'team'. I was able to watch via DVR and catch up then watch the last half of the 4th qtr live, but honestly wish I had not.

yes we are spoiled due to Saban, and maybe that's part of it, but even in our down years, I felt way more vested in the team b/c of how they played (for the most part anyway). This team just isn't that way.

This is exactly where I am. I hope we win, if we don't, oh well.

I'm disappointed in the product put out on the field wearing the jerseys of the team I've loved my entire life. Its not upsetting me that we are losing in a transition year really....its disappointing to see how the program is representing itself with what is being displayed on the field.

I'm to the point now, when Milroe runs out starting vs Missouri I will probably check out.

I’m sorry you just don’t accidentally put up 500 something yards on Georgia’s defense. It’s not like it was a one game thing either because he played great at Wisconsin the week before as well, let’s not act like there hasn’t been regression in his game.

He has resorted back to his bad habits and he’s not confident in anything he’s doing out there on the field.

Because....say it with me...

He's...not...a...quarterback.

But NFL teams have millions of fans that care. I'm a Barves fan, those guys are pros as well. I don't need the players to have pom-poms or bleed crimson, that's what I am here to do. All I need them do is buy into the team, play as a unit and leave it all on the field. They don't have to become lifelong Bama fans.

Right now, this is a poorly coached, undisciplined team but, I'm always going to bleed crimson.

We beat UGA last year too, and it's because we are their kryptonite. Wisconsin is a bad football team.

Do we know if any big time boosters are invested in Milroe? That could have been pressuring CNS and CKD.

CNS let the culture get out of hand and now CKD has to try and navigate this snake pit.

Wasn't the last interception thrown on a first down play? What about the one in the end zone.

Why would we do anything to facilitate gambling on a college sport. That's really sick and sickening IMO.
Boosters were not pressuring CNS. If so, THAT is why he retired...

That's always been the difference between college football and the NFL though....and that has disappeared in the college game.

Today's world of College Sports is now totally infiltrated by, horror of all horrors, Marketing and if we are honest, an influx of 'legitimate' Gambling interest. With the current collegiate generation, they have been raised on endless encouragements to be YouTube Famous, TikTok Famous, FB Famous, and so on and so on and so on. When you hear players talk about what is important for them, the key words you hear now are BRAND or worse yet, MY BRAND. Current Grandparents (Gen X'rs) and Great Grandparents (Boomers) should all be cringing when we hear those words. Somewhere along the line, we missed out on teaching some important lessons, like the benefits of team work to achieve a goal.... the importance of individual achievement that benefits the team as a whole and giving credit to the team when it succeeds, and showing humility when it fails.
