Questions about Milroe.

it's very likely we have very capable QBs on the roster, but we'll never know until we are no longer held hostage by LANK.
Do you think the offensive coaches sit around the office discussing "how we can make sure JM gets drafted this year?"

What do you think Coach Saban told the first booster to come into his office and demand to know "More" about the team? He didn't shake hands, do a press conf., kiss babies none of that. go back and look at his press conf. after winning the Clemson game in 08. he was pretty mad about the attitude of the fan base and some of the players attitude. what does CKD owe the boosters? I also think Coach Saban had a press conf. about "nothing" one time.
THAT never happened. Mal had already taken care of that problem. It was one of the main conditions to Saban taking the job in the first place.

this is why I completely understand why Law did what he did. Don’t approve, but I get it. He’s put in the time and effort to be a starter. He’s been a great teammate and when it’s finally his time, he’s rewarded with spotty QB play (at best) and very few chances to make an impact with the ball. He deserves better. The frustration that boiled over did not start with the game in Knoxville. That’s where it culminated.
What did Law do?

Not comparing CKD to Saban, that has been done enough times. If you think his press conferences have been kosher than so be it. I've said my stance on it and don't have anything else to add. Hopefully he starts winning some games soon and how he acts at a press conference will be the last thing we are discussing on here.
Good! You seem to be one of the very few that have a problem with it.

BTW, I have never seen a coach under fire because "he was terrible at press conferences".

Earned Bama a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when they needed it the least.
Yeah, I thought the reference was to something else that happened that I may have missed. THAT penalty was among the many stupid ones that we had. TBF, the other player should have drawn one as well. Lest I go on a tirade about the inept officiating again...

Just chalk that under "things some random idiot thinks the coach could do better". I see you aren't letting this go so I retract all of my thoughts. (y)

The Raiders will be the "Colts" of next year's draft and be the sucker team who uses their top three pick to take Milroe and they'll get the same results as the Colts have with Richardson. An athlete trying to play QB at the highest level.
The way he is now playing; Milroe will not be taken in the 1st round, or 2nd, or 3rd......; if he comes out
Edited; I meant Not taken

You supposedly made a final comment and I pointed that out.

You then responded to my comment...without responding to the content.

Whatever, go back to your agenda.

I think we can still win with Milroe but the OC is going to have to earn his money. Designed runs and limited route trees is one way. Another way is an emphasis on RUNNING THE FLIPPING FOOTBALL.
We really don't know how much Milroe is changing at the line of scrimmage. I really don't think the issues are play-calling. We have seen over-whelming evidence of poor decisions made by Milroe.

Don’t wish that on my Raiders! But this would be such a Mark Davis pick too 😫

I was watching Lamar Jackson on MNF last night wishing Milroe was playing somewhat at that level, he was stepping up in the pocket, seeing the field well, hitting his targets in stride while also running the ball well.

I know it’s unfair to compare a college player to a soon to be 3x MVP but their styles are so similar, it’s just that one is a good passer and the other one is not right now.
I don't think JM is quite the athlete that LJ is in terms of his ability to move laterally. JM could be just as fast/faster on a straight line.

But the main difference between LJ and JM is LJ has the awareness that I'm not sure JM will ever have. Self awareness is a beautiful thing. It obviously applies to personality but in this case it applies to his skill set too.

FWIW, I think JM has played himself out of a first round draft pick.

Best thing that could have happened to him is to suffer an injury after the 1st quarter of the Georgia game. He looked pro-ready that quarter for the 1st time ever. Since then, his game has regressed terribly!

Why someone will ask? I think it comes down to two things: 1. We have Georgia's number, so to speak. 2. We had probably game planned for them forever, and it looked like the scripted plays took JM's thinking out of it. Remember how fast he got rid of the ball?
