He reminds of some of the young men I coached in baseball. Their athleticism
overrode their poor fundamentals. They were fine on the “routine” stuff.
I had a young fellow that played third base. Routine ground ball to him with an average runner - no problem. Slow roller to third and you better get ready. He may make the throw or it might go into right field or over the first base dugout.
If film existed of Jalen from when he first started playing QB (high school, middle school, or maybe before?) I would just about guarantee some of the flaws we see crop up now existed very early as a player.
But in many cases at earlier ages those things slide because, combined with their athleticism, you can win with them “just the way they are”.
