Anthopoulos has his take. I think all 3 (Sale, Fried, Ozuna) are gone.

Says Acuna & Strider returns "could be opening day, middle of April, beginning of May, ... beginning of June". So, basically a "who knows"

Coaching Staff "expectation is that they're all back"

Tons of questions with little answers yet, but it will be an interesting off season. Ozuna should have been gone before his resurgence, so I don't think that one is that big of a loss if he does go. Sale had a masterful year, but the injury bug/age are working against him. I think they make a big run at keeping Fried, but he'll probably pull a Freeman and go to the highest bidder which won't be the Braves.

I wish Snit would retire and let someone else take the reins, but that likely won't happen either...

I just came here to post that article. He didn't really give us any answers.

I think Ozuna will be back. Whether Arcia comes back or not I think depends on what we have to pay some of these other players.

I've never heard him give any real answers - ever. He wants it seem like he's the magician behind the smoke. That said, I've been pretty happy with him, overall. Obviously, some things he can't fix (injury bug, guys not producing like they had been, playoff woes) and some he can (coaching / players / trades).

Ozuna needs to go. Yes he is capable of a good season but you are playing with fire in trusting him to consistently produce them.

Sale… dominating when on, but good god he gets hurt at the worst times.

Fried… had a bad year but should be the #1 priority this offseason. But he won’t.

I honestly would rather struggle offensively next year than lose Fried. Because you are effectively forcing Hurston and all the prospects to grow up really fast to help out strider if you don’t keep him. Because you are effectively hoping for a rental that may or may not pan out like Boyd or Sonny Gray and hinging your season on the back end.

I just think stability in the rotation is far more important at this point than finding long ballers in an already built lineup.

I can’t really diss Ozuna because he was by far our best hitter this year and flirted with MVP numbers for most of the season.

He’s actually had two great seasons in a row with back to back years with over .900 OPS.

I agree Fried should be a priority and won’t and most likely goes to the Dodgers.

Sale was by far our best pitcher but yeah he does have an injury ridden career.

I can give or take Strider and maybe that’s a hot take I dunno.

But he rarely seems to be able to make it even 6 innings before hitting 100+ pitches and I don’t think I’ll ever get use to that from a guy that’s supposed to be an ‘Ace’

I’m not sure about Acuna either because he’s already missed about 2 full seasons and this year before he even got hurt he was giving way less than 100% effort.

But worse than any of that it just feels like our front office doesn’t really care about putting together a team built to legitimately compete for a WS.

The last few seasons have been really frustrating with the injuries and letting Freeman go to LA.
