I agree. But getting drug at the.moment and nmhave had to go way down the talent pool to find replacements. Merritt especially bugs me because we bailed out of guys like Hilson for him.
Yeah, those are chances you definitely take and in this day and age they dont pay off at times..........I would suspect Bama looks into the portal for players more this time to fill some spots. I still think DeBoer snags some other recruits before its all said and done

Ole Siss' win over UGA has paid off for them in the short term.........but we will see where they are down the road

Kids are fickle and if we finish the season strong and not only make the playoffs but go deep in it, I suspect our recruiting will tick back up several notches.

No Montgomery is a very good player, and brooks deserves a 5th star to be honest. But really wanted the bigger bodied guy.
Oh well.

Losing Merritt really bugs me and now I'm a bit worried about carroll. Not sure what the word is there. He is visiting Colorado this week (though he's made visits all year)

A taylor commitment would perk me up.

Fwiw AU picked flipped a cb from usc today, Im not sure if its connected but could be a good sign that donovan starr is flipping somewhere (bama, uga, vandy)
Carroll would be a huge loss but I am hopeful and NFL team with grab Deon from Colorado. I think most kids would be scared away from going to Colorado knowing decent chance Deon leaves for the NFL or better job since his son will be gone to the NFL.

Nothing makes sense anymore and you can't put any stock in anything until the kid has played five games. If they've got any talent there's going to be somebody in the background the whole time trying to recruit them somewhere else.

As much as anything , we’re in the “ buying “ season when it comes to recruits. Holding on to what we have ( AKA remaining competitive in the bidding wars ) is the challenge. Sucks.

From reading the boards, Rogers was playing mostly slot WR this season and wanted to continue that role at Bama, but staff like him at RB. Mutual parting it seems. He’s told OSU is fine with slot WR / RB. Dear is a pure RB and we're good at that position. Good luck to him. He was the last Saban recruit in the 2025 class. Surreal and bittersweet.

Turbo officially decommitted but that is no shock and hasn't been predicted to be in this class since late spring.

Look for Bama to either flip Dalton from usc or claizo from MSU. Either may be an upgrade as an actual RB over turbo given his lack of production there over the last two seasons.
Which of the two is the better back? Can we take both?

With Cunningham flipped any chance on another WR I heard some rumblings on a receiver out of Miami that is committed to Florida any thoughts

Doubt we take both. Dear had locked down his recruitment fwiw.

Dalton is a bigger baci 6'0 200

Clarizo is lighter by a bit but still a quality back and lower rated but honestly probably closer to where turbo should be ranked if they want to call him a rb and not an athlete. Maybe a better compliment to dear and our rb locker room.

I assume we are higher on Dalton because we were in on him early....ill take either..but more confident we flip clarizo.

Montgomery. He is a good prospect and a flip is probably incoming unless a bigger fish become available. Plan still seems to be only two wideouts in this class.

I like him he will need a redshirt season. Not quite tye physical mismatch Cunningham is. But a good player nevertheless

So is Cunningham still scheduled for the Iron Bowl?
