They just upset ULM, so, a raise and extension are definitely in order. No blue font, because they really act like they just pulled a highly improbable upset
You can bet on that extension and pay raise with an improbably win on November 30th. I don't look for it, and there is still one more very dangerous, tough game for each team ahead. No one can be looking at 11/30, when 11/23 is as important, or moreso, in every way.

Voodoo things happen in jordan hair.

Bama's won the last five in Tuscaloosa by an average score of 46-23.
We tend to put them away in Tuscaloosa. They gave us some fits once or twice at our place, but it's entirely different over at their shack. DeBoer can shut all of us up who already miss CNS by winning, first AT Oklahoma, and then taking care of business at home against our most hated rival, Auburn.

That fan base is like pee on a platter. All over place and not very deep. I swear they chest beat more in years that the game is in Tuscaloosa than they do when it's their turn to host the game in voodoo land. I took a quick peek at one of their boards and that win over ULM has them thinking they are unstoppable now.

I'm particularly looking forward to this year's IB because they can FINALLY get their commupance for that "fear the thumb" garbage from 2006

Sshhh!

We don't want the booger-eaters to realize that...;)
Moore was a great fundraiser, which necessarily involved hobnobbing with large donors -- who view access as part of what their donations buy. While Moore didn't like the meddling, he viewed it as more of a necessary evil, and didn't really stem the flow of meddling.

The change happened when Saban came. Part of his deal was contractually-limited engagements with alumni.

Word came down that ALL requests involving Saban -- personal appearances, autographed merch, etc. -- had to come through the National Alumni Association. With that order came a warning: If you try to loop the NAA, you will not only not get what you want, you will be blackballed for all future requests even if they come through the NAA. Just don't do it.

Of course, there were a few that said, "They don't mean me. I'm special because....well, because reasons." They looped the NAA and ended up looking like Wile E. Coyote after a blown up cigar, wondering what just happened.

I've said a number of times that Saban processed not only the football program, but the fanbase as well. I don't know how Byrne is handling DeBoer's alumni contact, but it's a lot easier to continue the status quo than it is to change it. IOW, I'd guess DeBoer doesn't deal with much meddling from boosters.

I hope so... Important to keep the big donors happy, but you don't need them interfering.

And that balancing act would challenge the Flying Wallendas..."Gimme your money, but after you write the check, don't bother me none."

True, that summary is a bit harsher than the reality. But not all that much.

Successfully executing the balance is one reason why Greg Byrne gets paid seven figures.
