good luck on the recovery from surgery
Thank you! I had previous back injury in gulf war. The surgery back then worked for the most part (it would go out from time to time). I woke up a couple of weeks ago with searing pain firing down my left leg and parts of my leg went numb. I was almost in tears trying to walk. After surgery I feel like doing back flips. They did a fusion on L4 and L5 in lower back with medi al grade plastic spacers and titanium plates and screws. The pain is mostly localized now though very intense. I am already better… just gotta heal. So now I have tons of time off to spend on my favorite web site!

great to hear! i had an l4-l5 and l5-s1 discectomy in 2001. thankfully that took care of the problems that had plagued me for a couple of years prior and i had a relatively quick recovery and haven't had any issues since.

I had a fusion from L3 to L5 3 years ago...went extremely well but you have to take your time and also do the PT. All the best to you...

My wife had L5 repaired, then fell and crushed L4. She had to have kyphoplasty on the upper one...
