I cant fault KDB for keeping Milroe as the starter coming into the season, you want to have team continuity your first year. What i can fault him for is seeing CLEARLY he cannot run your offense well. No excuse not to pull him and start Ty Simpson. The season is over might as well build the foundation for next season now. If LANK players dont like that, good riddance.

I think CKD was basically given two different options this year…keep the locker room happy and maybe back into something big or tear down the whole building and wind up with 6-7 wins.

I’m having serious doubts that the staff believes in Ty because this is the 2nd sinkhole game Milroe has had and we never made a switch. I think in all likelihood we are going to get a guy from the portal to be our quarterback for next year

Still can't wrap my head around it. Losing a close one on the road even to a bad Oklahoma team I could have written off as "oh it's his first year, they had a bye, blah blah"

But we got dominated by a bad team. That's really concerning. Maybe he still turns this thing around but I have the biggest doubts I've had

Thing is, with Milroe this is a 6-7 win team. Should be 6-5 right now.

Honestly, id ALMOST rather have option two, the losses would suck but man, watching bama this year has been very frustrating.

I know this is more or less you making a statement off a gut feeling of what you think might happen at this current snapshot of time.

But if that were to actually happen I’d be done with CKD and this whole regime.

It sends just the completely wrong message when we’ve had a kid (Ty) stay and quietly working behind the scenes to get better and earn a fair shot but instead he doesn’t get on based off NIL/Lank junk and on top of that gets passed over for a free agent from the portal?

That’s just not right.

Ty has taken the Mac Jones route and deserves a chance for his hard work and patience.

Ty may be looking at this train wreck and decide to step off, but I agree. He deserves a legit chance to win the job. He should not be handed the job like Milroe was, but let's see what he and the rest of this group can do, starting in the bowl game.

DeBoer has:

Little to no visible passion
Little to no control of the team
A Qb that can’t read a defense
Not been able to make 2nd half adjustments
No alphas (other than Milroe and Hollywood)
Bad linebacker preparation

I don’t see much hope this year that he’s the guy. But I’m probably being unfair to a multi-millionaire who didn’t get this team ready for half of its games.

if I had to make a blame chart:
25% Saban for not fixing it last year
50% DeBoer for not fixing it this year
25% Milroe for being so self centered he cost all of them everything (regardless of his intent)

he wanted so badly to be “the man” that he lost all sight of a team, and his friends, and in turn wrecked all of it. But, he was the youngun in the room and the adults failed him.

My UAB Blazers dominated in their home finale yesterday and Bama is humiliated.

TBH this season sucks. Ready for basketball to really start cranking up.

Our linebackers regressed so badly this year, its stupefying how badly they played. Kane Wommack is not the answer at DC as well. After last year i thought Cambell and Lawson were gonna tear it up but lord have mercy its like having two to'oto'o out there.

Honestly it pains me to say it, but I'd assign more of the blame on Saban. He was correct in thinking 2023 had championship possibilities but I'm still shocked he yielded control of the team. I can't fault DeBoer for starting the season with 4, but riding him all the way down last night makes no sense. If Booker and the others pouted mid-game in Norman, what actual difference is there in the season ? We're done.

Most frustrating thing to me was that it was apparent to all of us watching that Venables had his defense crashing down on the short routes and Milrie runs.

So what do we do? Short routes and Milroe runs until the game was lost. Even a Milroe defender like me will admit he had a bad game, but he got zero help from the booth and almost as little from his blockers and receivers. They just ran him right into the teeth of a pretty salty defense until he became too desperate and made those hellish INT's.

If I was Venables, I'd feel pretty smug about how I dominated Bama's coaching brain trust. As far as adjustments, we were deer in the headlights again and it looks like if the gameplan we choose during the week of preparation isn't working, we either can't or won't change during a game.

To us watching, it's like seeing a nightmare game of rock paper scissors. Their team brought rock and we just keep on trying scissors for the whole game like the outcome is going to improve. I don't get it.

I stated in the early season predictions that I thought CKD's first year record would be 9-3.
If the same Alabama team shows up next Saturday at BDS, it will be an 8-4 season. Maybe at 8-4 we can get a Duke's Mayo Bowl bid in lovely Charlotte or the Camelia Bowl in Montgomery.

I've got alot to say about this team's issues but it starts at the top with a "star" QB.

The problem is the "star" is a star on social media, in the TV/press media and on TV but there's no substance on the field.

We have two years PROOF he can NOT lead us to a NC.

It's time to end the experiment of named Jalen Milroe!
