Not feeling good about the Iron Bowl at all

I think it's well known by now that Auburn starts prepping for Alabama like week 2 of the season. It's their Super Bowl. Look at the absurd talent disparity in 2021 and 2023, games we likely should have lost that came down to overtime or miracle plays.

Then there's the fact that our guys don't have much to play for. If they didn't care enough against OK for a playoff spot, how will they care about Auburn?

Freeze was hired specifically to beat Saban/Alabama, and they seem to be peaking as a team.

Yeah I really, really don't feel good about this.

Would not surprise me at all. I don’t know if the Barn has the defensive personnel to replicate it though.

Same was true about Oklahoma and yet we chose to use a 3 man front for most of the game

Hunter will be dragging defenders all over the field. If the barners can replicate OU’s defensive strategy, we may get goose-egged because Milroe will be kept penned up behind the LOS. (And of course, we’ll keep going back to it.) Sure, we could attempt short passes like inside slants, but it’s unlikely the passes will be completed. I don’t see a path forward.

In all honesty, given the locker room "situation", the amount of transfers preseason, the overall lack of offensive line "talent" and inability to run a pin and pull scheme, CKD might have seen this as a throw away season. Kind of like "I'll work with what I got till the malcontents cycle out and I can get my players in here." Who knows, I may be WAYYYYYYY off base on this one, but who knows? If the lockerroom is as some say on this here message board, I can't believe coach is to thrilled about it.

If he looked at it as a throw away season, then he would/should have sent Milroe packing and started Ty from day 1.

We were #1 at one point…nobody threw anything away…myriad of things put us where we are now…that isn’t one.

if this game were at auburn, I would guarantee a loss. In Tuscaloosa, we have a chance. Although I seriously doubt the crowd will be into it with nothing to play for. I would not be surprised to see empty seats.

Sit Milroe and we wont be going East to West
