One thing that bodes well for us is, the barn has only beaten us 4 times since 2008. In each one of them, they needed at least one fluke-ish thing to happen. In 2010, the only whacky thing was when Ingram fumbled and the ball rolled perfectly all the way down the sidelines and into the endzone for a touchback. And of course in 2013, 2017, and 2019, several whacky things happened at JHS. Ingram's fumble and perfect roll has been the only time I can think of that they made something crazy happen and work against us in Tuscaloosa. And that one really stung because Mark was gone to the house and that would have made it 31-0
- there was also the Richardson drop of a soft little 3 or 4 yard TD pass that cost 4 points

- the Barron easy interception that wasn’t because he could not raise his arm. He was gutting it out but was really unfit to play. This turned from an easy int into a ~70 yard TD. (About this time Alabama and McElroy began to really “tighten up” and could hardly do anything offensively anymore.)

IMO, that is a totally incorrect and unfair characterization, especially made toward an Alabama player. Some of the criticisms of JM are valid but he has found 20 nuts, not 2, in the past 2 years with hopefully more to come.
Let's just hope it doesn't include 2025. That way we can put the Milroe apologists to bed.
