I found this to be strange but we are 0-3 against Auburn when the IB falls on November 30th in the last 25 years (losses in 2002, 2013, 2019).

Boy I hope I’m wrong today 😐
But we won it in 1968.
Van Tiffin's kick was on November 30.
So was Kevin Lee's rumble in 1991 that led to the only TD.
And Dennis Riddle's game-winner in 1996.

November 30 hasn't been kind to us, but the 2002 IB wasn't on 11/30. That was before the game returned to the Thanksgiving weekend slot. That year it was November 23, 2002. Our last November 30 win against them was 11/30/91 in Birmingham. But, as a silver lining, Tiffin's kick happened on 11/30/85 😁

Selma! Tell me you didn't just miss one! The 1996 IB was on 11/23/96. That was in the era where the IB was played before Thanksgiving. 1993-2006

This is probably the first time we've ever actually hosted the IB on an 11/30 date. As in, we're the actual home team. I don't count those years after the 50/50 ticket split where we "hosted" the game in Birmingham. We had the home ticket allotment, but anything in Birmingham wasn't a true home game IMO

See, I was thinking this as well, but I'm half out of it.

I had a horrible life changing event on November 29, 2002 that I woke up depressed about this morning (I was corresponding with someone there last night btw).

So I'll admit to not being all there at the moment.

It's long ago and over, but it altered the direction of my life in a bizarre way.

I'm sorry to hear that Selma. I have some bad November memories myself. 11/27/09. We squeaked by Auburn in the final minute of a game that was an extremely difficult viewing. But, oh how I wish that had been the only thing that happened that day. It took years to finally get out from under the other thing that happened that day. Some tell me I still haven't, depending on who is asked. Ahh...what is it about Novembers?

How do you feel now? I felt like Bama would show up..........just wish they had collected those other scores they left on the field. Would have loved to have blown them out 42-14

To be honest, I didn't understand Freeze's gameplan. I was most worried about our inability to stop the run and that we would be Jarquez Hunter'd to death, but he barely touched the ball. I saw a stat where out of 9 plays in the redzone, Hunter got the ball once, and it was an incomplete pass.

Kind of incredible incompetence, really. We turn the ball over 4 times and still win by 2 scores.

On Auburn: I have to admit, I was little confused by what they were trying to do, but I liked how they were getting their players open, so it was working because they were able to drive down the field, but once they got into redzone, that's when they had slow moments and that was weird. But we have to remember that it is hard to run against Alabama in redzone. The trick play by Auburn was the dumbest thing they could come up with. I don't know why Auburn didn't pull pages out of vandy/ Oklahoma page since they had personnel to do that. Freeze is always going to freeze on the field.

Jalen turnovers: Ball security. What's weird is that three of his fumbles.. if he had not fumbled, we would've got points on the board by the way they were moving up the field. That interception.. If it was little on target.. same thing. So beside that, he had good day. I think his confidence went up. Here's hoping we get in playoff and give all those guys much needed break.
