The talent is there, but the desire to take that talent to the next level is sorely missing.

The recruiting Process was missing badly the last few years.

It’s also very possible we have been seriously lacking in PLAYER DEVELOPMENT.

That’s a stretch. He’s actually recruiting. We’re still recovering from the dearth of talent Harsin left us with.

Let's see where this upcoming class and team (after transfers) actually lands. I hope it stays solid, but a lot can happen over the next two weeks.

The problem with keeping a coach that's a clear misfit is exactly what Auburn is dealing with now - it can take years to undo the damage done in just a season or two. Alabama's AD is about to earn his paycheck in the decisions and conversations he's going to have over the next few weeks.

Hoping I'm wrong. We're going to know a lot about DeBoer's ability to coach after the Auburn game.

The program is bigger than any single player. If RW leaves, so be it. We have plenty of other receivers. I hope he stays, but it won’t be the death of our program if he doesn’t.

It is known. It’s about 5-6 players.

I think that would happen regardless. Most new staffs have movement as some coaches just don’t mesh. Now, A DC or OC leaving, probably not.

Saban had an ad hoc staff his first season. We got rid of Major Applewhite after 2007.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting the AD should be considering firing Deboer. What I mean is there clearly needs to be come changes (maybe with assistant coaches), and how that's communicated by the AD is going to be important. Only the AD can know if he's a misfit or not.

When Grubb spoke he really only talked about one quarterback… that was Mack.

Ultimately, I don’t know how much losing Grubb actually mattered. At the end of the day, He Who Shall Not Be Named still has to execute.
