This is one of the thing I whined about last night. If you know defense is showing seven in box, audible out of it. Call for quick slant pass.
We would do that with a normal QB, but Milroe can't hit those. That's the problem, and that's why I'm not really worried about the playcalling. Sheridan has been calling plays with one hand behind his back.

That's a fair assessment. But we also realize we have to blame Sheridan for some of things he did not do such as:

-Putting together a decent game plan on consistent basis.
-Lack of adjustments throughout the game.
-Not putting Milroe in best situation to execute the game plan.

I saw DeBoer with a play sheet in hand towards the end of the game. I could be wrong but I don’t really recall him regularly having a play sheet. I wonder if he was trying to help call plays late in the game.

This! Or the QB felt like he could beat a 7 man front with his legs. Sometimes overconfidence is a problem there.

I just watched CKD's post-game presser. I know he doesn't want to criticize his players too much or throw anyone under the bus, but I almost felt like he was at a different game than the one I watched.
To me his demeanor and the way he handled questions was very concerning. I couldn’t tell if he was completely baffled, angry or lost.

Agreed, but last years staff made some pretty amazing halftime adjustments which allowed for some impressive come from behind victories.
That’s one of the bigger concerns I have now. I know it was a quick switch OC with Grubb gone but it seems like this year has been worse scheme wise/adjustment. Was thinking it would be more a strength.

I smell a "promotion" coming for Mr. Sheridan.
I know there is a discussion to be had about changing coordinators after only one year (small sample size, he has never game planned and called a game that did not have Milroe as his starter, with all of Milroe's strengths and limitations), but the wide range of quality of those game plans (OU game vs LSU game, UGA first half vs Vandy) and the lack of halftime adjustments is worrying.
I would think that at the very least he should be given a stern talking to and he should be told, if there is not substantial improvement next year, he will be shown the door.

True, and i think CTR did really well trying to change things up once he knew JM could not run a real offense, but I'd want to be fair and see both staffs be able to call a game with a reasonably competent QB before evaluating them.
