Yes I do.

It was a bad decision.

I’m more or less venting about a lot of things.

I should have been more specific and said Prime CNS

The hardass disciplinarian who ran a super tight ship.

I’d do an even trade with IUs staff yesterday.

I know we gotta give them at least 3 years but the OU game was a BAD omen.

The not moving on from players who aren’t performing to the point it negatively affects the entire team is a bad omen.

His pressers are a complete waste of time with coach speak.

I’d take a rant about a coke bottle over this.

I’m mostly tired of wasting talented players.

We’re going to be lucky to keep RW and Germie.

Reuben Foster did this also but then flipped to us. I think RW is a lifer.

You are probably right and I hope you are right.

It’s just the more time that goes by without hearing more about the QB situation has me concerned.

Law hitting the portal has me confused and concerned.
We probably won't hear much about JM's future right now, but I'd bet my house he will not be Bama's QB in 2025...

I think the first NFL “hardship declaration” (lol-“hardship”) is first week of January (January 6th) for those eligible and not playing in the CFP.. Those still playing have until January 25th to declare.

So Milroe and others still have 4 weeks to make a decision and announce.

This just in: Jason Autry and his crew have been assigned to work the ReliaQuest Bowl this year.

(just kidding everyone. looking for some levity in my current aggravated state. I certainly hope this doesn't really happen).

I see that the story (dare I say rumor), that a selfish and emasculated shell of himself Nick Saban was cajoled and bent the knee in submission to a locker room mutiny that sold out the future of the Alabama football program for one last run at glory, is alive and well.

You know, as much as I'd like to see Milroe, Booker and some other cats decide to sit this out (and I wouldn't blame JM if he does if he's projected as the #3 QB in the draft), it is their "right" to decide to play.

And think about how "bad" it would look for CKD if he tried to freeze these guys out.
That is the kind of thing you do not do in public. If Coach DeBoer is unwilling to let Milroe play, then some story will be presented to the media to save face (and not sabotage Milroe's draft status). "Milroe is going to work with a QB whisperer," or "Milroe has opted not to play so he can concentrate on his draft status," or something like that. If Milroe is frozen out and not happy about that, he might spill the beans, however, but I doubt the school will.
But yes, I agree, if he wants to play, I'd be willing to give him his swan song. It's just an exhibition game, really. I would keep him on a short leash. If Bama is up by two scores in the 2nd quarter and has provided some spectacular plays, I'd pull him and play Ty the rest of the game.

I realize the benefit of younger players getting extra practices for a bowl game but otherwise I find little that excites me about bowl season. In previous years players didn’t hit the portal or opt out of bowl games to avoid injury. About all bowl games are good for now is background noise while I finish wrapping Christmas presents.

Exactly! Milroe does not decide who plays qb for Bama. He is an elite athlete that Bama has had the benefit of having. Milroe and Bonds will forever be “Gravedigger”, lest we forget. He was one play away from bringing home the Natty just 11 months ago. Give the young man some credit. A spoiled, fickle bunch of fans many are. 🙄

I think you mean he was one play away from going to a second overtime in the semi-final and if we had won that game we would have had a chance to play for the national title.

That is quite a ways from one play to win the national championship.

Aside from extra practice time, the bowls are utterly meaningless anymore.

That's an over the top way to phrase it but yes that is basically what happened.

You don't have to believe it but it's true.

Somebody is going to write a book about the 2023-2024 seasons one day.

I know some people need CCTV video evidence of everything to believe but it's not going to be revealed like that.

For fans (like us) whose team is in transition and looking forward to the 2025 season, these types of bowl games and their 15 practices are invaluable. Next year's team needs all 15 practices and every rep that comes with them plus the game. It could be what jump starts the next Bama title run.

He was also 10 minutes, 1 play and a ref who knows the rules away from a possible turnaround in the Oklahoma game. 🤷‍♂️

It’s pretty funny people will believe a Tweet from BillyJoe’sFootballBlog.fart but refuse to acknowledge Saban caved…

We're not going to allow this to become another JM thread (pro or con) but it's not nearly as cut-and-dried as you portray it, and I know this as fact.

So drop the name calling and take it down a notch.
