Bama Players Transferring (catch all thread)

Makes you wonder what’s going on over there. Do the Walton’s prefer basketball over football or something? Or is the coaching staff a pain to work with?

Yes (who? i dont know). Our NIL is fine honestly. There is a difference in philosophy from some programs.

Do you say the biggest number and deal with the problems that come with that or do you make fair offers based on the players real value (bama and UGA do the later and still recruit great)

You really have to copy the NFL model IMO. Pay vets and stars what they are worth? Pay high school recruits a fair number but leave room for growth if they exceed expectations (and be certain to reward it)

Not every recruit just jumps at the biggest number. Kelon Russell turned down similar offers that Underwood got specifically so he could play for Kalen Deboer.

Here is the estimated top NIL $ schools and Poke is right. I don't see Oregon which makes me wonder about the absolute accuracy of this info but....

The SEC has 7 of the top 10 largest NIL funding estimates according to the NIL-NCAA website. NIL funding by private institutions are not included (such as USC, Notre Dame, etc.).

While Michigan has 11 billionaires, the biggest threat is from Larry Ellison , with no ties to the school other than his latest wife. One of Bama’s most notorious boosters had zero ties to the University. It’s not just about Alum, but also the fringe fans . In the past , that was good and bad, but in today’s climate it’s all good. I guess

surprised it's this low for all of these schools.
