These threads are wild.

Milroe:
  • Not good enough to play for a mediocre Bama...ALSO
  • Set to be first round NFL pick
These arguments are often forwarded by the same poster.

I am still betting he comes back. DeBoer didn't have it in him to sit Milroe this year; nothing makes me think that will change regardless of what he says about installing an offense.

If Milroe comes out in the second half of the bowl game and takes the first offensive snap, you will know all you need to about who will be behind center starting next fall.

And yes, I will still be watching.

I assumed Milroe would play the bowl game but I'm not sure how much I'll watch. the poor decision making is just not entertaining.
It's going to be a Horror show.

Michigan has a better Defense than OU

They are 3rd in the NCAA in Rushing Defense.

They are 66th In Passing Defense which isn't Great but when Milroe can't get the ball in a 6-Foot catch radius then they might as well be 3rd in that too.

But hey we can't hurt anybody's feelings on the team so let's just keep on Lankin'

I can't help but think if Jalen planned to return next year, he would not have announced he was going to play in the bowl. The announcement is like something a leaving player would do.
Milroe was asked Thursday for his thoughts on what the quarterback room will be like in 2025.

“Next year, it’s going to be a really talented group that’s going to be in position to do a lot of special things next year,” Milroe said. “I’m excited for those guys for the opportunity that’s presented for them.”

That last comment sounds like a guy headed to the NFL draft. If he planned to come back he wouldn't be excited about the other guys opportunities. He'd be thinking he's QB#1 and the other guys can just watch.

Michigan already knows how to stop him. They did it once, so they can do it again. We will find out in a few weeks.

Ohio St tried to force the run...didnt work...so i hope we dont do the same...definition of insanity. Although a key LB for Michigan will not be playing...going to the NFL

Being a first round pick has little bearing on whether you're a good college QB or not. Anthony Richardson was a first round pick, and he was terrible in college. The NFL has been strangely obsessed with super athletic QBs for awhile now. Not really sure why, and I'll probably never understand it. When is the last time a run-first QB has ever won a Super Bowl? Everyone is obsessed with Lamar Jackson, but he hasn't even sniffed a Super Bowl. And that's really where we're at with Milroe. Yes, he can do some cool things with his legs, but in 2 years, the closest we've gotten to a national title is the semifinal. That's not good enough at Alabama. We said a lot of the same things about Jalen Hurts as we are Milroe, but the bottom line is, Hurts took us to the national title game twice. He ultimately couldn't win it himself either, but he still got further than Milroe. It would be different if he had shown he can do the traditional QB things, as well as run, but he can't. Nothing he has done hes inspired confidence that he is the man that can end this title drought.

Well it really doesn't matter if we call a Zone Read or Pass play because Milroe will call his own number as much as he can trying to have a high note sendoff to try to impress NFL scouts one last time.

If he was fast enough to throw a Pass to himself he'd do it.

He doesn't want anyone but himself touching that football or doing an endzone dance.

They need a similar game plan like they had with Auburn. No planned QB runs. They'll have his number like Okie did. Run da ball with Jam, Justice, and Richard. Throw to the WRs, TEs, and RBs. Screens, sweeps, etc.

Yeah, I don't really feel good about this one. Most of Michigan's championship defense is intact. It's the offense that was decimated. Maybe we can win something like 10-0

I'm assuming that was to play the bowl game which I hadn't heard he didn't plan to, to begin with.
If they are planning to leave for the NFL, CKD may have wanted to discuss whether they were planning to opt out or play in the bowl game.

Milroe would be an idiot not to go to the NFL this season seeing how weak the QB class is. Next year's class will be a lot stronger and his chances of going first round will definitely plummet.

You gotta admit, that would be pretty awesome to watch.

Not sure, but hey I think we are on the same page on Bama Football. What will happen, will happen. One guy does not define the program. I will still be in the Loge thick or thin. Roll Tide.

I'm going to ask what might be obvious. If Milroe is so bad, why didn't DeBoer pull him in the games that he performed so poorly?🤷‍♂️
Because DeBoer is terrified of Milroe leading a mutiny against him like he did when he turned Saban into a shell of himself willing to bow to the demands of the players and NIL while sacrificing the future of the Alabama football program...or something...and other stuff.
