I respectfully disagree.

I'm flat tried of watching a grown man acquiesce to this crap.

He's not a good QB or Leader or Teammate.

In fact.. he's a BAD QB and a BAD leader and a BAD teammate.

It's all about him.

Him Him Him

It's HIS QB1 Job, It's HIS Showcase, It's HIS time to call his own number repeatedly.

By hell or highwater Milroe is NOT going to let anybody else take QB1 practice reps or game snaps.

It's completely flabbergasting that ONE player is more powerful that a HC making $10 MILLION dollars per year.
You do realize Saban felt it was "better" to put up with it than smash the anchor through the bottom of the boat? So it must not be as "easy" as "Bench all of them and if they don't like it they all can go to hell!". The dynamics are more complex and nuanced than that.

Saban put up with it for one year and bolted. DeBoer is putting up with it for one year and it's 100% leaving and headed to the draft and we're keeping our #2 recruiting class intact.

Milroe stated today he plans to play in the bowl game and “hasn’t reached a decision on the NFL draft”. So take that for what it is worth.

It's a pointless bowl game. I would like to see a different QB but who really cares ultimately.

Also you can't bench him for this type of game that would be a terrible look.

I think it's time to read the tea leaves instead of listening to sports writers who are wrong more than they are right. They guy is going to pull a Peyton Manning speech after the bowl game and come back. His draft grades have plummeted, and he is not going to transfer out. He makes way too much cash at Bama, is on TV every Saturday, plays for a high-profile SEC team and the list goes on.

Simpson leaves, which is fine with me. If he is truly the guy, then he would have been the guy by now.

The new guy now has a clear path to become the starter in 2026 and things will get back to normal.

CKD has said he's installing his full offense next season. There's a lot packed into that statement. He's told recruits that...
People have put all that on milroe but our oline is also very different from what he prefers but we are shaping it into what he's used too, while still landing big talent.

Lloyd is the perfect LT for deboer, for instance.

Well, that day just got freed up for me to go for a long hike. I won't be watching, and if JM is back for '25, it's unlikely I'll watch then.
I'd rather be waterboarded for 4 hours than watch another snap.

I've never seen anything like this in 40+ Years as a fan.

A player that CAN NOT even be benched over poor performance.

He has the 2nd highest INT % in the entire SEC and if you factored in Fumbles he'd have the #1 Highest TO rate in the league.

He very well may decide HE WANTS to come back. But per CKD, he's installing his FULL OFFENSE next season...

Yes, he needs OL to be able to do more. But the QB position is the bulk of the reason we're not running his full offense.

Hey, I get it. Milroe just won the Genius Heisman Award. Deep down he actually thinks he can pull this off because he is the smartest guy in the room. Trust me, he sees no competition behind him in game situations.

I assumed Milroe would play the bowl game but I'm not sure how much I'll watch. the poor decision making is just not entertaining.

We'll see. No one has absolute information on what's going to happen. Only Jalen Milroe ultimately decides whether he's returning or not. But to this point information that some of us have been able to get from the program is he's going to the NFL. When it comes down to pulling the lever, could he decide to come back? Yep, sure could. But Ty Simpson has made it public knowledge he plans on staying and "being QB1 next season". If Milroe ultimately decides to come back, I'm sure there will be conversations had with CKD and either Simpson is told one thing and stays or he transfers.

Trust me, everyone that thought they had info on what was going on was dead wrong after the meeting on Monday. Simpson can say whatever he wants, I think it may be time for him to nut up and prove it, because all he is at this point is just a guy that looks good in practice situations.

What little we have seen of Simpson has been encouraging. He has looked good. But the sample size has been small.

No, you can't bench a player that just won the William V. Campbell Trophy. It would be a very bad look. I don't have the same disdain for Milroe as a player as others. Therefore, I find it refreshing that a player doesn't opt out and wants to finish the season. I'm undecided on my feelings if it's a sign he's coming back next year.

In all fairness, this is the last game of the 2024 season and the cluster crap clown show CKD has had to manage wrt lockerroom dynamics has been exhausting I'm sure. It's one game and rather than cause a massive uproar in the media and bench Milroe, the best bet is to let the kid play, get the team their 15 practices and a bowl game, and put a bow on the 2024 season.
It's Slippery Slope indeed.

21 years ago, I managed to free myself from management and supervision. I lost enjoyment the more segments and people I had to be responsible for. I've had multiple opportunities to return to that but have avoided it up to and including straight up refusal and respectfully moving along. The majority were really good people with talents, skills and knowledge to contribute. It's when those that came in and let success go to their head then tried to undermine those around them, and me in some cases, thinking their value had somehow exponentially expanded beyond their true growth. In most cases I couldn't just escort them out the door due to the time and effort I had invested. Some cases you have to just manage as best you can, learn from the event(s) and plan accordingly to recover and apply lessons learned for the betterment of the team and company. I truly think CKD is currently in this exact phase and I'm not even close to calling for his removal. Give the man time.
