Cool, we could use a Phil KnightLooks like I will have to go back to buying a program at the beginning of the season...
Heard he wants to play WR and the staff is talking with him about it so he may stick around and play with Ryan at WR. He is awesome with the ball in his hands.Well, you've either got the actual Don King: only in america movie.....or my favorite, the line from Rocky V when Richard Gant playing George W Duke (Don King basically)
So Mbakwe is going to play both ways now....because of Travis Hunter?
This ain’t Colorado and the cupcake squad they face.Heard he wants to play WR and the staff is talking with him about it so he may stick around and play with Ryan at WR. He is awesome with the ball in his hands.
I know many of us have gave CKD a hard time for not being more "old school" with his approach with the players and team but this post here gives some insight as to why that may not necessarily work anymore. Players have all the leverage now. They dictate if they come or go, they dictate their position, etc. The coaches who will thrive, as long as the rules are allowing this type of behavior, are the coaches who can find a happy medium between empowering the players and holding them accountable to doing the things that win. As I've said before, it is an interesting time to be coaching football. To those of you who want to burn every bridge to every player who acts this way, good luck with winning with The Little Giants rolling out onto the grass come next season. To those of you who want to bow down to every demand every player has, good luck winning with an undisciplined and unmotivated group of players next fall. There are very few truths in life, mostly just our perspectives...and a lot of gray area!Heard he wants to play WR and the staff is talking with him about it so he may stick around and play with Ryan at WR. Again, and people on here scoffed at the notion this was already going on with certain players the past two years. Yet now we're seeing concrete examples of it being posted online proving it true. This is ridiculous
But But But...what is your source? Are you in the locker room or know someone on staff?Again, and people on here scoffed at the notion this was already going on with certain players the past two years. Yet now we're seeing concrete examples of it being posted online proving it true.
He’d suit up right now for a honey bun and an Arby’s sandwich.
Depth at WR going into the bowl game is super thin anyway, so sure give him some reps for depth if nothing else.Heard he wants to play WR and the staff is talking with him about it so he may stick around and play with Ryan at WR. He is awesome with the ball in his hands.
I'll play devil's advocate.Again, and people on here scoffed at the notion this was already going on with certain players the past two years. Yet now we're seeing concrete examples of it being posted online proving it true.
Heaven forbid anyone want substantive proof. But But But...what is your source? Are you in the locker room or know someone on staff?
Well, our QB only throws the ball to two of the WR on the roster anyways, so does it really matter if we only have 3-4 for the bowlgame?Depth at WR going into the bowl game is super thin anyway, so sure give him some reps for depth if nothing else.
Short term, not a bad idea.Depth at WR going into the bowl game is super thin anyway, so sure give him some reps for depth if nothing else.
yeah but you probably demand someone “warm” that honey bun and want extra horsey sauce on that sammich. He’d suit up right now for a honey bun and an Arby’s sandwich.
Wait, that’s me.
