Bama Players Transferring (catch all thread)

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

If you enter the portal right now, are you also forgoing the bowl game or are they able to play? I get that the player probably does not want to but are they allowed to still play?

I hope so, kinda. He is a Williams level talent, but he needs to want to be there.
Me too. And he did seem to be a Bama guy. Idk we'll see.

How do we get news of these things so quickly? Is someone following around Mbakwe and recording his every thought?
Idk where the original leak about transferring came from. But the staff on on3 were saying he was likely to transfer

The idea he might stay is coming from guys like Ryan Williams and Keelon Russell. They have posted stuff on social media that makes it seem like he might be staying after all. We will see 🤷‍♂️

As some have said, it's now being discussed we may keep him. Supposedly the main issue was not NIL but playing both ways. Ole Miss was going to give him a shot at playing both ways and apparently, now we are...we'll see how true all this is as the day unfolds. But what a day and in time in college football when the players can strong arm the coaches in what they're going to play or they leave without penalty.

"ONLY IN AMERICA!!!"

Name the movie...

Anonymous but connected X accounts are the new premium message board
While the rumors of Mbakwe hitting the portal had been floating on various sites (On3, 24/7, etc) Nick Kelly, the Alabama Beat Writer for AL.com was the first I saw yesterday “confirming” on X that Jaylen was entering the portal. My guess is that someone on staff told him it was about to happen.

My “other guess” is that someone got to Jaylen and convinced him to hit “pause” on the decision.

Well, you've either got the actual Don King: only in america movie.....or my favorite, the line from Rocky V when Richard Gant playing George W Duke (Don King basically)

So Mbakwe is going to play both ways now....because of Travis Hunter?
