This seems suspect since it is in direct conflict with what was reported when he entered the portal with a “do not contact” designation.

I'd take this with a grain of salt. If we were truly looking for another QB we'd also "heard" of us contacting other candidates but we haven't. But even still, if this is true, it just means our QB room needs to step up and improve.

Yeah definitely possible it's not true. But in today's world when there are no real rules idk seems possible we contacted him before he officially entered or something

Those riches come 100% from the fans - wither through direct purchases or through eyeballs (ad revenue).

There was plenty of money in NASCAR until the eyeballs went away and tickets weren't being sold.

I couldn't have cared less one way or the other about NASCAR when I was younger, but I went to one race at Talladega when I was at Bama in the mid-90's.

It was fun, but it's no mystery to me that few younger Americans have much interest in it these days.

Rusty Mansell on one of the UGA sites wouldn’t get into UGA “wanting to get Beck to return” other than saying people on both sides have stated it was a mutual decision to move on.

So the story was wrong on both fronts; Alabama pursued Beck and UGA wanted Beck to return.

The reports are being refuted by both bama and becks camps.

Its not impossible that we may have reached out...but we're never paying 4 mill. Also he entered with a non contact tag so that buddy's the waters about him getting any contacts at all other than uga and Miami. And beck would only make sense at a dramatically lower nil price tag given how the staff feels (reportedly) about Ty and Russell.

It's not a generational thing - Nascar has lost over half it viewership in less than a decade.

They thought the fans would never go away, took them for granted, and changed the sport too much for many to like it anymore. Sound familiar?
